When I previously taught my students would ask about my "opinions" all the time and I'd give the same answer. You want my "opinion" buy me a cup of coffee and i'll be glad to furnish it. We're in a classroom and I'm a teacher not a preacher.

I know you mean well but your experiences are outdated and therefore not relevant to OP’s questions.

My most memorable teachers from HS and college, and the ones who truly taught me how to think, were the ones who inserted their interests and cultural interests into the curriculum.

Actually, compared to other school’s pages it’s pretty mild

There was one socially disturbed young person who posted antiseptic speech and racist things and he was forced to leave the school -other than that a lot of it sounds like half misunderstanding and half clumsily worded comments

Other schools have more systemic indicators :

NU prep schools trying to get AA students not to apply to HYP so that white legacies would not lose spots
Teachers confusing AA students
Dating discrimination

I don’t see any of that in the STA posts

It is good to at least contextualize the racism, but I'm not sure that pointing out that it is significantly worse elsewhere is a great point. The DC area is much more diverse and integrated at the elite level than probably anywhere else in the U.S., so the expectations are certainly different.

Also, what is a NU prep school?

The DC area is NOT more diverse than anywhere else in the US. You have obviously never lived in LA or other parts of Southern California. DC is incredible in the level of racial division based on where people live and level of education. NYC is the worst.

Really?!? You're justifying and dismissing the damaging and disturbing experiences of these children? "A lot of it sounds like half misunderstandings and half clumsily worded comments". What is wrong with you?!? Is this how you treat all victims? Is this how you dismiss racism and other traumatic experiences of others. Are you trying to make your self feel better or just in denial? It's shocking, especially for 2020. I'm not sure how you can dismiss or downplay attempts to provoke or dare a child to commit suicide as a misunderstanding? Anyone or any school that makes decisions based on anonymous posts deserves what they get. I read some of the posts. Even the former head of Diversity at NCS gets tossed under the bus. While some of the older posts are plausible do you really believe a current student told another that if this was a few years ago I’d lynch you?

DP. Well I never thought just 2 years ago they would photoshop Jewish classmates’ faces to appear like Holocaust corpses either but it happened as well as chanting build a wall around a diverse student. Both happened.

Dating discrimination is that white women date black men but black women don’t like to date white men. Because they don’t find white men attractive. Sure, they would hook up with George Clooney but they ain’t going out with George from Seinfeld.
