So far, none of the takes on this thread are worse than this. Except maybe Cedric Richmond for Chief of Staff, that was pretty awful.

Agree this list is bizarre.

Michelle Rhee?? No! Petraeus, honestly, bring back Mattis before you do that. Romney - no way. Nothing.

Oh and Tammy Duckworth does not have the experience or qualifications to run a massive entity like DHS. Frankly she could be good for VA though.

What is so awful about Cedric Richmond as a possible Chief of Staff? Clyburn wants something important for him in the Biden Administration, and there would be no Biden Administration if it were not for Clyburn. Richmond is a smart and savvy member of Congress. His relationships on the Hill matter. Washington lawyers are a dime a dozen. Klain is needed to help run COVID recovery.

There also is ample precedent for picking a member of Congress as Chief of Staff. Meadows, Emanuel, and Panetta are just 3 recent examples that come to mind. Regardless of who President Biden picks, he should make sure to consider a diverse group of folks.

He’s a right-wing political blogger from New Zealand, so he’s not really the best source for insight on this.

Seriously. This. He's a New Zealander one. He was probably crying into his cheerios with Farage on Skype when Trump lost two.

A bunch of neoliberal retreads.

He'll pick someone he's already tight with, why Klain makes sense.

Heidi Heitkamp is being discussed for Sec Ag, seems like a good choice.

I love this idea.

Big news!

I can see Collins and Murkowski backing Warren for Treasury.

She always brought cheap wine to Senate ladies night.

This would scrape some of the cold, blackened ash off my scarred heart.
