I dont think OP'S question is dumb at all. You have a point too, and there are nicer ways to bring it up. (Without name calling )

It is like with hospital beds.. yes, many other people then CV patients need them
but for the time being ANYTHING that is not life threathening needs to wait,
and ir is totally reasonable.
The same with medicine. If you need it for arthritis or what not, you just need
do without for a while until people are saved.

Easy concept really. This is not ordinary times.

I think it’s unethical that we’re making doctors fight this virus without the right tools. And so I’m not surprised they would justify their own unethical behavior at this time. But if it’s dentists or dermatologists or something, then that’s bad.

Perhaps you shouldn’t rely on one pharmacy?

Thanks for the tip. I spent half the day calling around, but that's really beside the point.

Hmmmm let me think it through...

nightmares......death
nightmares......death
nightmares.......death

NIGHTMARES ANYTIME!!!!!

Yep I was thinking the same thing!
Especially since this treatment isn't needed long term for COVID19.
I'll take terrible nightmares if it means I can live and breathe

Didn't Bayer pharmaceutical donate several million dosages to the USA for Covid19 treatment?
When are they expected to arrive?

These donated doses should be used first before we tap into the doses used by people with chronic diseases (I'm sure I'm stating the obvious)

Malaria Drug Chloroquine No Better Than Regular Coronavirus Care, Study Finds

Hydroxychloroquine, a medicine for malaria that President Donald Trump has touted as a treatment for coronavirus, was no more effective than conventional care, a small study found.

The report published by the Journal of Zhejiang University in China showed that patients who got the medicine didn’t fight off the new coronavirus more often than those who did not get the medicine.

* Trump has repeatedly touted anti-malaria drug chloroquine as a 'cure' for coronavirus, calling it a 'miracle from God' and a 'game-changer'
* But the first person to promote it as a potential cure is revealed to have posed as a Stanford University researcher when he was nothing of the kind
* He is actually a cryptocurrency entrepreneur and member of his family's legal firm in Melville, Long Island
* Rigano, 34, who uses his parents' address on public records, wrote a bogus scientific paper with another crypto investor, an ophthalmologist from Michigan
* It touted chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine as a potential cure but was removed from Google's public documents for breaching their terms of use
* The document claimed to be supported by Stanford and University of Alabama at Birmingham researchers but both institutions say that is false
* Rigano got his document tweeted by Elon Musk then went on a string of Fox News shows, not correcting Stuart Varney who called him 'doctor' three times
* The 'cure' was then touted heavily by Trump at the White House - despite Tony Fauci using the same briefing to say evidence for it is at best anecdotal
* Rigano set up a secretive LLC in February and has previously tried to raise funds to 'cheat death, cure cancer and end Alzheimer's'

Lupus. Which is a horrible death.

Let me get this straight...
You want to isolate all the at risk people for the next 18 months AND deny them their life-saving drugs so the healthy people can take them after they are infected going to Starbucks and Soul Cycle.

Lupus. Which is a horrible death.

1.Not all lupus is created equal.
2. Death from lupus.. not so much nowadays.
3 90% lupus patients lead normal lives.
4. While there is a litany of drugs that are equally great for lupus
there is nothing except hydroxycloroquine and chloroquine for CV
at this point, not counting plasma therapy.
