Yes, I'm sure they know. If they are like me and my closet Trump friends they might even enjoy hanging out with you on a superficial level. I'm very nice to my closet Trump friends. But when it comes down to it I just can't respect them for supporting blatant lies and corruption. It's not a D vs. R thing. I have lots of (former) R friends. The issue is Trump and the current GOP who is willing to put him above the law. It's not just "politics". |
How do you know where they live? Did you look it up? |
Pp. I know plenty of black people who voted R. At least 5. They just don’t go around telling everyone out of fear for being called racial slurs. There are more black republicans than you think. |
Picture of what? You taking the time to search for where celebrities live? So where do they live? And how do you know that? |
Are you a black republican? |
I know many more than 5, and my dad is/was one of them. And his small business friends. And guess what? We talk about it. We discuss differences and still loce each other. But again I speak from my personal experience and you speak from yours. Are you black? Cause blacks don’t throw racial slurs at each other for political beliefs. And your 5 black republican staffers don’t count in this example. I’m speaking of black Virginian republican citizens that don’t get their income from the GOP. Anyway, time will tell. |
You think that Tuskegee airman that was honored with his grandson is voting for Trump? You think he would say so if he were? Or has he seen DECADES of injustice and learned how to keep peace and rise to his status despite by voicing his inner thoughts? Anonymous internet boards weren’t a thing back then.
We know how to keep our mouth shut too. And we know how to life every voice and sing. Don’t forget it. There are more who agree than there are that so not in our community. It doesn’t mean there isn’t a dissenting opinion; but it’s not the majority. |
I am just the opposite. As I am ambivalent about all the Democrat candidates, I am hoping for a continued Democrat House and a Democrat takeover of the Senate. I find Moscow Mitch far more nefarious, narcissistic, rapacious and cunning. The Con Don is only getting away with his actions because Mitch allows it. Get rid of Mitch and we might have a more functioning government, with or without Trump. The Democrats need to focus on seizing the Senate and maintaining the House. At least prior to this week, Congress did have some power. I am not so show now. |
I’m PP, a NP to this thread and I think the whole notion of tracking anyone and commenting on it is weird. |
It is a sad day when the only way to get rid of an elected president that you dislike by impeaching him. |
+1. Yes it usually fairly obvious. FWIW I am a liberal and have no problem with quiet Trump supporters, socially. Just had lunch with a good friend yesterday- pretty obvious to me she is a Trump supporter. Neither of us bring up politics, so it’s fine. But yes- we know. So what? I don’t see why you would care, unless you feel it is something you should be ashamed of.. |
PP again. Fascinating. Well, I guess it's a good thing that we all just (sort of) agree to disagree, or at least have figured out a way to make nice and get along. The respect issue is relevant too; I guess if I really think about it, I don't "respect" their point of view either. I think they are 100% misinformed, completely uneducated about history, and lacking in a broadminded perspective that would make them better understand the errors in their follow-the-leader way of thought. But, they're still nice people! |
FIFY |
LOL. Five is not “plenty”. |
Nope. Black liberal. (But not one of those far-left liberals who freak out over everything Trump does). |
