| why would they attack them for being gay? It's DuPont, there's tons of gay people everywhere. Why attack just this guy? |
| In the District of Columbia, a juvenile is defined as an individual under the age of 18. |
I dunno. Why did that gay couple get jumped outside of Nellies in June? |
How would we know?? |

Wanna put a stop to this crap?
Birth control. Safe, easily accessible, and free abortion. These “kids” will be having their own in a year or so, if they don’t already. |
Actually, the answer is serious parenting interventions for kids that are exposed to violence and who show signs of externalizing it, starting in preschool. |
I don’t get it you got to break that down, how does forcing little white girls in Friendship Heights to get on the pill put a stop to this crap?
|
It’s a lost cause by then. |
Legally, they qualify for youth rehabilitation (anonymity, second chances etc) until 25. |
Sadly, homophobia is still rampant in AA urban communities. Some are woke, and some are not. |
So you’re suggesting this is the fault of the black community, then. |
Not at all. Just wondering about motive. Has this been clarified yet? |
| If we never find out the motive it will be either sexual orientation or racially motivated . Keep in mind the murder of Wendy Martinez was racially motivated and he wasn’t charged with a hate crime and faces only 30 years in jail for murdering her |
I believe in rehabilitating a thief or a drug addict, but this kind of violence stems from a place that is ingrained and not redeemable. I did a lot of stupid shit as a teenager but it never occurred to me to harm another human being. I grew up in one of the most violent places you can imagine. |
I think you're the same poster who has said a few times here that the Martinez murder was racially motivated. Please cite your source. I have read a lot of coverage of that case and don't recall seeing a single report mentioning a racial motive. Not defending the killer at all, just questioning why you have said more than once, very definitively, that racial hate was the motive. It wasn't mentioned in any coverage of the investigation or guilty plea that I saw. And it's odd to compare the Martinez killing with the assault discussed in this thread. The two events don't have much in common -- except that both are terrible tragedies for the victims. Bringing up the Martinez case repeatedly doesn't really shed light on anything about the hotel assault. |
