“The Marquess, who as Lord Great Chamberlain is a regular fixture at state and ceremonial events (and would be expected to bring his wife to the occasion), was seated on the table closest to the Duchess of Cambridge, next to the Duchess of Gloucester. Whereas former model Rose, dressed in floor-length silk (to the Duchess of Cambridge’s white Alexander McQueen), was tactfully placed at the other side of the room. Perhaps to limit photographic opportunities to capture the pair that would be additional fuel for the rumours and spark speculation?” https://www.tatler.com/article/rose-hanbury-attends-state-banquet |
| So none of this is true. God I really didn't have time to read through 15 pages. Neither of them looked good. Someone please find a pic of the "one who did it best" at the state banquet. Let's derail this thread, it's time. |
PP again. Since I don't know how to post a pic, here's a link. I really like Ivanka's dress! It works and it photographed well. https://www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/g27702742/trump-state-banquet-buckingham-palace-photos/ |

Lots of white.
Was that a royal decree or something? |
Sorry pp again but the MEMEs! https://www.wmagazine.com/story/donald-trump-state-dinner-tuxedo-memes |

I don’t believe this for a second. William clearly adores Kate. When they are in public at events, he is always seeking her out with his eyes, sharing private smiles and laughs. He has said in interviews that she is the best thing that ever happened to him.
They’re obviously madly in love. He could have anyone - he was the most eligible bachelor in the world for years and he chose her again and again. She’s beyond beautiful, classy, intelligent, and kind. I’m sure he worships the ground she walks on. He’d be a fool not to. |
+1 I think they have the ideal marriage. How. An they not? They are a team at their very flexible, part time work; they have adorable kids who they spend tons of time with; and all the help in the world so they don’t squabble about chores. |
Yep +1 |
Not to rehash an old argument, but reportedly William couldn’t have “anyone he wanted”. Because apparently he wanted an upper class woman, and he even dated several in between breakups with Kate, but those women had no interest. I think the same was said for Harry, too. |
This is laughable. William can barely hide his indifference. She clearly adores him, and I don't doubt that is extremely important to him. He doesn't show anywhere near the same adoration toward her. |
Add me to this team! It’s really gross to see how many resentful bitter people there are out there who are actively hoping he cheated! |
Towards Kate? He does all the time. |
Uhh no. He ignored her, forgets her, and often publicly makes quips about her. My favorite - after they’d been married a year he left her in the rain like she was nothing. |
| My mind is blown that so many people here think Rose is gorgeous or sexy or elegant. |
You could have written this about Prince Philip and Elizabeth II and he cheated. Elizabeth was the best thing that ever happened to him too. She provided him with the stability and status he didn’t have during his adolescence. William can still think the world of Kate and cheat. Just like every other male British monarch in recent memory has. He simply does not have your same Haus Frau sensibilities. |
