Who is footing the bill for all those procedures to keep premature babies "viable?" And then the care that is almost always present after they make it out of the hospital? And by care I mean the financial support and emotional care these babies need? What's next? Will we start judging people based on their actions? On the things they say? On the crimes they commit? Is nothing sacred anymore?!

The problem with your characterization is that it's wrong.

Whatever you may think about Republicans or Democrats, their end goal is actually very similar: maximize the happiness of all humans. The disagreement isn't on the goal, but how to get there. Republicans mostly see this and this is why the general feeling of Republicans towards Democrats is that the later is misinformed. Democrats somehow think that Republicans have different end goals, that instead of maximizing the happiness of all humans, Republicans are for oppression and suffering - and in this light it's easy to agree then that people working towards such goals are indeed evil.

I'm truly asking because I didn't get the memo...How are Republicans trying to maximize the happiness of LGBT, women, POC, and those who fall on hard times?
