I'm flippantly calling her a girl to underscore my frustration with our misogynistic society. Question: are your liberal friends who say America isn't ready for a female president women? Because...no offense, Buddy...us girls have a better sense of how America treats women than our male counterparts. And yes, everyone realizes that HRC was far from the perfect candidate. But does that mean she should lose to Trump? Because, that's what happened. And you should ask yourself why that happened. Nikki Haley??? Wowza. |
Nikki Haley? Bless your heart |
I agree: she will run again. I don't know if she will get the nomination but she will run. FYI, I said this over a year ago - and I base it on her attempt to blame everyone and everything for why she lost. But the main reason is her sense of entitlement and the fact that the Clintons never give up! |
The only one that actually stands out to me as having potential is Tammy Duckworth. Whereas I see downsides (and also upsides, but mostly downsides) to the typical names people are throwing out - Biden, Harris, Booker, Sanders - I really can't see any major downsides to Duckworth. She's a veteran, and totally badass. |
PP here. Do you actually think I'm a man because I spoke the truth about why HRC lost? ![]() Should she have lost to Trump? Doesn't really matter - she *did* lose to him. Yet none of you are willing to examine why that might be, and instead blame it on every possible excuse, other than squarely on her own shoulders - and those of you who, along with her, smugly believe you know what's good for the rest of the country. Hasn't it occurred to you yet that you were wrong? Very, very wrong? And as for those I was referring to who claim America "isn't ready" for a female president - I'm talking about the many far-left liberals who populate this site. Not anyone I know IRL. It seems only here in DCUM-land are liberals so sure of themselves that they truly believe they know how the rest of the country is going to vote and why. The hubris scale here is off the charts. |
We need a Texan. Sorry to be old school, but the electoral votes matter. There were two brothers, Julian Castro and his brother--I hope we hear from them. And soon. Just to make conversation, Michael Bloomberg's name is sometimes tossed around, but two NY billionaires running against each other would be too sad.
Texas. And Elizabeth Warren. |
Who from TX? There hasn’t been a statewide D elected in a long time |
Elizabeth Warren is a total joke. You may love her inside of the beltway but Trump will tear her apart and may leave her in tears. Can't see it. |
that's what you get when you are an affirmative action baby. you are 100 percent wrong on joe kennedy. surely he'd probably make a good general election candidate but he would get nuked in today's dem primary. his stance on the drug war is a no go in today's dem party and the future of it. he's too neoliberal/beholden to israel as well. it doesn't work in the primary. |
i worked on the Hill - Joaquin is an idiot. both of these dudes are proud of the 1200-1300 sat and using affirmative action to get into stanford. embarrassing standard bearers for the party |
Mitch Landrieu |
have you seen the statistics on new orleans? it's a dump for the most part. NOT a successful city. might as well as get doug jones to run (which he should - he has no shot at keeping his seat in 2020 IMO...might as well as say screw it and swing for the fences) |
A legless feminist. OK. |
Nikki Haley will be the first person identifying as female to become president of the United States. Howza wowza to you, girlie. |
Can't wait to see it. |
