Oh yes, I always pick the thing I will work on by whether it is the absolute worst thing occurring at the time in my country. If someone is battling a horrible illness, is it the worst illness they could have? Should a child with cancer beat out a senior with Parkinson's? Oh you're only having a serious operation but you'll be fine after a long rehabilitation? No help for you! I'm looking for someone who's going to die young from cystic fibrosis. FWIW - a kid growing up with a fear of dying at the hands of the police because so many suburban and small town police forces have been poorly trained in this country (and that's where most of the BLM cases are) - I count that as a serious problem. Especially when people like Philando Castile do everything the officer tells them to do and they still get killed. |

You don't know a damn thing about any type of law enforcement, so stop pretending that you know about police training in the burbs or elsewhere. And thousands of armed people get pulled over every day and they aren't shot. So stop acting like this type of shooting happens every day. Both you, and the kids who are supposedly afraid of the police need to get a life and stop pretending that you know what is happening in the real world. The screen on your phone does not equal real life. Just admit that you are a bigot and you hate cops. Why don't you go on a personal crusade to slander doctors or some other profession? Mistakes made by doctors kills tens of thousands every year. Yep, go after those bad boy doctors lol |
TOUGH DUDE ONLINE WATCH OUT EVERYONE!!!
|
| Seriously - don't clutter up the neighborhood with signs, it lowers property values. |
You need professional help. Everytime someone comments on a thread of this nature, your only and immediate response is to say that they hate cops, are anti-cop, etc. People try to explain to you that is not the case, yet, and still you persist. Why don't you just skip these threads before you have a nervous breakdown.

+1 plus your neighbors are making fun of you behind your back. |

Its sad and pathetic that Some people on this thread think police are a threat If not the biggest threat to the black community.
Give me a fing break |
I did ask our neighbor to take down her BLM sign when our house went on the market and she refused. At closing the buyer said "we know who to avoid in the neighborhood". The buyers and I are black. The neighbor is white. |
I guess it all comes down to individual perspective doesn't it. That's what opinions are based on aren't they - individual perspectives stemming from personal observations and experiences with a hint or two of implicit bias and inherent prejudice all mixed in together. Opinions on race, religion, politics, parenting, education, employment, fashion, friendships and relationships, etc. etc. etc. all essentially come down to each individual persons' perspective. So with regard to the people who have had different life experiences than you and have had different life observations than you and subsequently hold different opinions about law enforcement than you are you just going to sit there and insist that they're TOTALLY wrong? You're not going to take into account the fact that some people have seen things you haven't seen and dealt with circumstances that you haven't? You're not going to take into account the fact that (GASP!!) not everyone on this planet grew up in your exact house in your precise neighborhood? Sigh... You're the one who needs to give folks a f'ing break. |
Yep, go ahead and make false assumptions. Makes you look really impressive. |
Hey, guess what! It's possible to be concerned about police treatment of black people and be concerned about other things affecting the black community. That's why I tutor poor neighborhood kids and I go to BLM protests. I see what addiction, poor education, poor housing does to families but I also see that people have a genuine fear of the police based on real experience. If you address only one of these problems and dismiss the others, you're not seeing the whole picture. |
Can you explain this to me PP? I am neither white nor black (Asian American) but don't really understand why you would both avoid the neighbor because of her sign. Because she is obstinate and disrespected your request or because her sign signals something to you as black people that is offensive? |
Nope this is huge and a big liberal fallacy Show me facts and numbers Thats What will convince me and logical adults not overhyped media saturation on a very few isolated incidents Or a couple of yardsigns |
