I'm wondering if T-Rav is back on drugs, after the way he flipped out at Kathryn's house (really, climbing out of the window?) and his rage at the dinner party. He seemed so unstable. And why the heck did the guests stick around after that? Did they think he would come in and suddenly apologize?

Kathryn telling Landon that she sounded like a dolphin was hilarious.

Landon redeemed herself with me last night. I feel like she showed she has a little bit of a backbone.

Did anyone watch WWHL? Andy had Cameron, Landon and Whitney on - with a "surprise" visit by Shep. They all had some interesting things to share.

Apparently, there was a court-ordered drug test for both Kathryn and Thomas. Thomas passed. Kathryn did not. There had been rumors floating all over the web about Kathryn's drug habit and on an earlier episode of WWHL with Kathryn, it was obvious she was on something. Even my DH (who hates anything Bravo) made a comment.

I do think that Thomas is a raging alcoholic however.

She's no worse than Thomas, an ex-con with an outrageous temper, but for some reason he's totally cool to hang out with and it's somehow charming when he acts a fool. The only difference between them is that he's independently wealthy. I feel bad for their kids. What a mess.

Oh no! <gasp> She may have to work!

Exactly! No one has a right to be on a reality show. If you are on drugs, can't behave with any maturity, and have nothing in common with a group of people, it's not surprising that they might not seek out your company. I am truly baffled by all the Katherine defenders. Yes, she is very young, but she has made some pretty cold, calculating decisions on this show, including having children with someone twice your age without any sort of commitment or plan in place to co-parent. Maybe it's because I wasn't that dumb when I was her age, but I don't understand what people see in her. She's kind of funny sometimes and she can be on the mark about some of the others, but she's never shown any real interest in anyone else's life and she's never shown any inclination to try to grow up, get an education and a job, and take care of herself and her children. Being on drugs with young kids is the last straw for me. Any sympathy she might have elicited is gone. (FWIW, I think Thomas is indefensible too. No double standard here-- they're both gross.)

Ah ha! I posted last night about WWHL and didn't get the drug test reference. I missed the part about it being court ordered, I just heard Cameron say she failed it. It doesn't seem like anything came of it though if she still has custody.

I love that someone in Thomas' family will pay him to stay away from her!

I'm not saying she shouldn't work, at all. What I'm saying is that obviously, she is going to have a much harder time doing that now that she's made some pretty bad choices that are very public. If she did fail a drug test, well, that's pretty stupid on her part. I was merely pointing out that she, more than anyone except maybe Landon, needs this show, and that's why she's lashing out: because she feels threatened and isn't sure how she'll make it without the show. I don't know much about child support in SC, but I would bet it's not enough to pay rent for the house she has now, plus food, utilities, plus everything for the kids during the time she has them. And if I were her, I'd be worried that the kids might be cut off at some point in the future thanks to Thomas's volatile temper. I could see him not paying for college or anything beyond the bare minimum required by the state if he doesn't feel like it. Maybe she's thinking about that. But maybe I'm giving her too much credit. I don't know. Either way, those poor kids have a train wreck of a family. Thomas is a total mess, and he has been for a lot longer than Kathryn. I am inclined to believe she can turn it around at 24, but have no such hope for Thomas at 50 or however old he is.

I was put off by what Shep said because he can afford to be nonchalant about whether he's on the show or not. He gets kicked off the show, or the show isn't renewed, no big deal for him. He goes on his merry way, because: family money. It's not like he did anything with his life to earn that money. He's just lucky, and he should be more mindful of that.

Shep did say, several times last season, that he knows how lucky he is.

Re: Shep - I agree with you that he's nonchalant because he's been lucky that he's had a family to fall back on. However, he does have his MBA and "mailbox money" is code for investments. Look, if he's invested well-enough to open a bar (bars can be cash cows) AND build a $1 million + beachfront property, he's obviously not squandering anything.

As for Thomas, he indicated that he's paying Kathryn the maximum allowed under SC law for two children (I can't remember if it was $2500/mo or $2600/mo), but that is plenty to get buy on in SC. Plus, he pays for her to have a full-time nanny and co-signed for her house. This was all without a court order in place and no guarantee that he will see his children. As he indicated on an earlier episode, in SC if you are unmarried the woman has 100% custody of the children and makes all the decisions re: the kids.

He may be a felon, drug-abuser, alcoholic or whatever, but he has earned millions on his own. In fact, I own property in SC and have written a check to him through his property management company every month for over ten years. That's just one of the many businesses he owns. His property development business is one of - if not the - largest in the state. Of course, having your father as a congressman I'm sure helped him, and the most unique bridge in the city (they keep showing it on SC) is named after him. He can be a total man-whore and louse, but he's clearly done well on his own.

This is what Kathryn thought she was getting with Thomas, and Whitney and Shep smart enough not to fall into her trap. Although I do think Thomas loves her on some level, and did want things to work out. He said in an earlier episode that she called him after Kenzie was born to talk about dividing the assets, as if they were married. I think she truly thought - have a baby with him and the riches will just fall into my lap - not understanding that without the ring, she really has no standing other than using the children.

I get it. I don't begrudge Shep his money. But let's be honest. It's much easier to make "mailbox money" when you have a very large initial investment, likely from a windfall not of his own making. The fact that he can live off this money indicates that, while he's not out there snorting it up his nose like some of his peers, he is coasting on the work of others. Which is fine, but I thought his attitude on WWHL was a little privileged.

And I realize Thomas is self-made, but he's not a better parent for it. He seems to have some sort of anger and/or substance abuse issue going on, and he's feeding off the drama with Kathryn. He may be chronologically older than her, but he's a pretty good match as to level of maturity.

It's sad all around for those kids.

Yowser! What a train wreck.

TRav was drunk as a skunk, which was kind of funny as he didn't come across as all that drunk until he started going after Shep. I sort of wonder how long that scene lasted in reality.

Katherine is trash -- her and TRav are a good match.

Man am I the only one who was rooting for Kathryn?

She is spot on about Landon, and Landon IS an asshole and has been one to Kathryn so for her to say she hasn't done "anything" is bullshit. She got close with T-Rav AFTER Kathryn told her to fuck off last season. There is no way Landon did that because she and Thomas have a lot in common and wants to hang out more with Thomas. She is dumb, but not that dumb.

Cameron is sanctimonious and self-righteous.

it was obvious Thomas was already hammered. And he was at Kathryn's house too. That whole scene I kept thinking "what 50 year-old climbs out of windows to get his way?" He has a screw loose.

I am so, so tired of Landon. I need her to get gone. Keep Kathryn. At least she is interesting. And remember, she is 23, so of course she is selfish and doesn't know how to be diplomatic. She will look back on this in10 years and be embarrassed. Landon, Cameron, Thomas...they have no excuse.

No, check twitter or even the daily mail comment section. Seems positively everyone is team Kathryn. I dont think I've ever seen such a consensus since... well, EVER on a bravo reality show.

Of course, DCUM is a weird place with weird people who have unpopular opinions.

Most everyone is Team kathryn- do a #SouthernCharm search on twitter if you dont believe me

Ah ha! I posted last night about WWHL and didn't get the drug test reference. I missed the part about it being court ordered, I just heard Cameron say she failed it. It doesn't seem like anything came of it though if she still has custody.

I love that someone in Thomas' family will pay him to stay away from her!

It's funny that anyone actually believes the three stooges! Those people have been saying stuff about Kathryn and desperately trying to kick her off the show all season- they hate that she's the breakout star. You'd have to be an absolute fool to take what they say at face value

Oh I forgot Tamara Tattles! There you go, another major site supporting Kathryn. You can check Reddit's Real Housewives forum too. It's kind of crazy what a consensus there is
