Okay, anyone disappointed in Obama so far?

This would be a great point had Obama ever said either of those two things. Since he didn't your post just seems so sophomoric.

It was tongue in cheek and by definition sophomoric. Thanks for catching this. It is my reaction to the Pres's observations, utterances, policy choices, missteps (dvd's for British dignitaries) --just seems super JV/undergrad to me.... like a passionate and fumbling college thesis -- that's just the tone this presidency has for me. I believe the original post was "OK, anyone disappointed in Obama so far?". Yes.

Well, it is surely clear that the poster has no dictionary.

That poster is also correct that Obama's ratings have slipped to Carter's levels. Its time to take him off of that diety pedestal where so many have placed him.

Ordinarily my rule is not to pounce on typos, but this one demands that I defend the President's diety behavior. Despite his access to the WH chef and those hot dog outings, he's still amazingly svelte!

When one has nothing intelligent to add to the discussion, resort to spelling and grammar attacks. Typical.

A person who can't spell emperor while trying to sound intelligent with a spiffy quote does not deserve more. Nor do you, because you added nothing yourself.

OMG. $20 says that 00:17 is the "elevated to god" poster in the Baby Mama thread.

Of course I had to take a few moments to decode "diety".

Very dis-appointed at the economic moves.

You only need to watch the stock market, the best leading indicator, to know where the economy is going.

So are you a rabid Obama fan now? Has the Dow's march to 10,000 given you a new outlook on the President and the recovery plan? Need to know where to get those Big O stickers for your car? Write back. We'll hook you up...

Damn, you beat me to it! I was waiting until the market closed to post almost the same message.

The queue for the Obama bandwagon starts here. All of you "the stock market is the best indicator" fans can please line up in single file and wait patiently to board.

Jeff, can we agree that the most important elements of the economic recovery plan were put in place before Obama was elected?

No, we can't agree. Some of them got started to a rudimentary extent, but the full implementation of TARP came under Obama. The stimulus package came under Obama (with only 3 Republican Senators supporting it), and the auto bailout was under Obama. I will give you that Wall Street's recovery is mostly owed to the sellout by both Bush and Obama and, as such, is probably more a bubble than a true recovery. I never believed that the stock market really meant anything in terms of the real state of our economy and I still don't believe that now. I just want to hear from those who do believe the the stock market is God.

As long as we can agree that the huge train wreck of a crash which devastated our economy was put into place before Obama was elected!!!!!!! Or is he responsible for that even though he wasn't elected yet?
