Photoshopped. It's the same pic that someone posted here recently w/o Adam in the background.

You lost me here... if you represent the President I am voting against. Period. Enjoy your conversations with yourselves.

Really. Like you were voting for the President regardless of what that guy posted, or whether he was fooled by some fake photo on the internet.

I think s/he plans to leave DCUM, as though that silly pic were a cabal by all of us to discredit RP. The pic hardly matches what Dan Savage did to the other Rick in the race.

For the love of God I hope those political handlers start ordering them hamburgers for their photo ops.

Oh shit, I never thought of that. Do you think a burrito is a political risk? Maybe they should stick to square food.

The fact that we all disagree, can't stand each other, have guns, learn to live together in a messy annoying antagonistic high blood-pressure mosaic, get to drive giant cars and foreclose on giant homes.....and will still defend each other to the death when we inevitably are attacked by China...is amazing.

I'll never forget how the terrified, screaming, crying, worried liberal urbanites LOVED tough, mean, born-again, GWB after 911.

Funny, I remember it differently: Blue state America pretty much unanimously got behind the President because he asked for national unity. Then came several years of questioning the patriotism of anyone who wasn't sufficiently gung-ho about the disastrous invasion of the wrong country. Just to compare and contrast, what do you think would happen if there was a 9/11 type of attack on somewhere like Houston tomorrow. If you think Red-state America would put aside their differences and get behind Obama, I want some of whatever you're smoking.

That's the difference between patriotic Blue-state Americans, and faux-patriotic Red-state Americans.

Conservatives are the ones prone to fear and panic. Scientists have actually studied it. That's why they want to kill everything they fear.

Rick Perry would mess his pants in delight. Obama allowed his state to be attacked!

When I read comments like yours on DCUM, it makes me realize the full extent to which many of you generalize about people who vote differently from you. FWIW, I typically vote Republican but have never had these kinds of thoughts about people with political views different from mine. Not saying that many Republicans don't generalize because they do, but you're no better/different.

There are always going to be exceptions. He didn't say that every single Rep would take that approach.

For the last few years the main goal of Rep politicians has been harming Obama. (They have said this, not that they had to.) Helping the country is somewhere on their to-do list, but it's far below. It was similar but not as bad during the last Democratic presidency.

Presumably, not every Rep voter supports that approach, but enough do that they keep voting for these guys.

Why shouldn't we generalize about a class of people based on the people they elect? Sometimes it's useful to speak in generalities. The danger to avoid is assuming that it applies to every individual.

NP.

Are we his nanny now? Doesn't he have his own state police, the Texas Dept of Public Safety (the state level FBI) etc? Didn't he get on TV and talk about how he had to protect the border because the Feds couldn't do a good enough job?
