How, exactly, does gay marriage threaten me?

OK first of all, if you are going to talk about it, at least spell it. "Orphus" makes you look pretty uneducated.

Second, disease is not evidence of God's moral judgment. Nor is disease going to scare people away from homosexuality. They can use a condom and get partners tested just like anyone else.

Lastly since Lesbians have the lowest STD rates, they are by your logic the annointed people.

No, just saying butt sex is not natural. Thats why the bleeding and tearing fosters HIV at a rate at 4,400 percent higher rates. The fact that sodomy is a sin in the Christian (and all other major religions) is a separate issue. Not any worse than any other sin and everybody is a sinner. I think most people are fine with civil unions with equal benefits but the term "marriage" is a attempt to sanctify sodomy and it is offensive to religious people. Gay people are determined to have their sin accepted as good. Religious people have every right to push back just as hard or harder.

I've got news for you. Half of this country right now accepts gay marriage. Half. Gay people don't really give a rat's ass what you think about it. They don't have to because they have enough friends in this country.

I've got more news for you. There are plenty of Christian churches which will bless gay unions. So as far as the religious aspect, that ship has sailed.

Next up on shocking revelations: legal marriage doesn't "sanctify" anything. Only churches hand out sacraments. You probably don't protest "marriages" done by a Justice of the Peace though.

Despite what you claim is the intention of gay people, gay people want marriage because they have not obtained equality under civil unions. You know it, I know it, and they know it. It is a fact. And it is why states that passed civil union laws subsequently passed gay marriage laws.

If you really care about this supposed threat to Christianity, you would fix the law in a way that does not offend your religious beliefs. Your lack of action means that those of us who care will make the change in the way that makes sense to us.

People who know God would not want to die in the act of sodomy. And that goes for the vast majority of people who may tolerate gay marriage as well. Nobody with any brains would want to take that chance.
