How, exactly, does gay marriage threaten me?

I am a sin-bigot. You are a religious bigot.

I may be a bigot, but I am not religious. Nor am I bigoted against all religious people. So either way, I am not a religious bigot. I am not even intolerant of all intolerant people, just those who repetitively intrude their intolerance into a public discussion. Once you've made your point that you consider homosexual acts (or homosodomic acts if you prefer) to be a sin, can't you go on to other subject matter?

I'm pretty sure this guy is a troll. And, if not, there is no amount of arguing that is going to convince him. Fortunately, while it may take a few generations, him and his viewpoints are dying off and will be quickly marginalized like so many forms of institutionalized hate before them. Let him clutch his proverbial marriage pearls and hide under his bed, afraid that "the guys" are after him and his faith while the rest of his life happy, healthy lives with the people we love.

I'm pretty sure that a dislike of your disposition is separate from religious bigotry. I am a Catholic, and I have found your posts to be pretty offensive.

at least, as a Catholic, you oppose sodomy-centric marriage so that's cool.

I oppose your un-christian point of view. You are hateful, and not merely hateful of sin. You hate gay people, and you hide behind the deceitful claim that you are hating sin. You judge when you know that you should be judged. Jesus was harshest to the people who abused God's name to do wrong - the pharisees and the moneychangers - in other words the people who wore the cloak of the law dishonestly for their benefit. His only acts of violence were brought upon them.

This is a great and tragic sin that you are committing, and you do it with full knowledge, and you are unrepentant. You know what that means. Review your catechism, par. 1857.

I'm sorry that the fairy tales you've chosen to believe tell you that feeling good is naughty. That must be a major obstacle to enjoying a fruitful, fun, loving life. It's a shame you've chosen to believe in a magical man who wants you to be miserable.

Lots of ways to feel good without the tearing and bleeding of the excretory orphus....and the HIV that thrives in the bloody-fecal environs.
