Trump has been elected twice through democratic processes, but people like you want to thwart his policies at every turn through impeachment, lawsuits, etc. What exactly is your definition of freedom and democracy? I laugh at people flying the flag who talk about how proud they are of being American. This type of arrogance that suggests shouting nationalism at every turn is something noble is so ignorant.

True patriotism is about action. It's something you have whether you choose to fly a flag or not. It's why other countries fund us obnoxious. My first thought when I see flags flying in a house is fool. Not because I'm anti American but because the desire to showcase the flag to prove how patriotic you are is just silly.

In your case I get it but random houses lining a street that fly huge flags I don't.

Esp now, when Trump has made us the laughing stock of the world. I'm sad we have let our country become this horrifying and no way am I going to want to talk about being proud of my country. We have to earn that pride and I don't think we have by electing the biggest moron to date as our leader. I'm embarrassed to be traveling around the world as an American and unless you are MAGA you should be too. Being embarrassed is not the same as hating this country however. It's being real.

The UK, France and Germany are not "the world." I have been happy to actually explain American politics and policies during my travels and I have no desire to emulate their countries. If you are that embarrassed by the choices of your fellow countrymen, perhaps you need an extended vacation somewhere else.

It feels like this post has gone off tge rails….think tge scene from the polar bear express where the train is sliding on ice…

If I were to see a large flag, and a do not trespass sign I would assume military family/property owner, and the possibility that if I were to trespass beyond that sign someone would shoot me, I don’t think politics I just think likelihood of legal gun owner and FAFO.
