Why block snap benefits?

Hey why can other countries figure this out, but we can't?

Stop making life difficult for federal and state employees, so they can do their jobs.

Also, where did a Somali restaurant get $12 million in federal money to feed poor people, especially now? What program was still functioning like that with the federal government shut down?

I’m sure the tens of thousands of American children who rely on snap will benefit from this wisdom. Until then, the guy you voted for, is making the choice to let them starve.

Is “honest” what we’re now calling ignorance? Being food insecure in America also correlates with eating cheaper, processed foods. Some may “starve”. Others who are obese, or who have hypertension, or who have diabetes, will likely become sicker — either from eating poorer diets or from not eating at all. Yes, this is a crisis the Republicans are deliberately creating— just as they’re trying to force the Democrats to give up their push for extending healthcare benefits.

People ok snap aren’t buying heathy foods. They are just buying even more junk food. It is literally driving the obesity epidemic higher than ever. If you are on snap because it has been deemed you cannot afford to feed yourself, yet you are able to consume so much extra food/calories that you are now weigh twice what you should; then there is a giant problem with snap- in how much is allocated and what it is used to purchase.

I have a very serious question for you. Who, exactly, do you think is looking out in November 2025 at Americans, including children, losing access to food and thinking a convincing reason not to give it to them is “because they buy unhealthy things”?

Obviously the Trump administration cares so much about people in America. Threatening states that are trying to provide food for their citizens.

I think that's what is is. But the White House is wrong on this. There are plenty of SNAP-relying Republican voters who heard Trump announcing the block and who will blame him.

He wants to kill them.

What other reason is there for starving people?

Pretty amazing that the GOP's permanent "mandate" didn't even last 10 months (not really). They're getting blown out in every election in 2025 and not sure what they plan to run on next year. Going to the SCOTUS to block SNAP? Refusing to help people with exorbitant health care insurance? Driving up grocery and energy costs? Protecting Trump's pedophilia? Great message they have...

You had me until “pedophilia.” That is a fringe left rallying cry that doesn’t resonate with normal people.

You should read what has come out about the Trump Epstein files. They were likely business partners.

If Trump was innocent, they would have released all the files by now. But he is not innocent.

He raped girls.

Minority view

Among SNAP recipients? Are you sure?
'

The majority view is that the shutdown is the President's fault.

Good. Then STFU about it. It's benefitting you. So why keep whining about it?

Because people will starve to death. Their corpses will need to be dealt with and buried.

How do you not understand that no food equals death?
