I think if someone makes money milking the eternal teenager persona it is fair game to make fun of them for being old as hell, when they are in fact old as hell.

The key is if it’s something they want but so many people act like not getting married or not having kids is some failure. It’s not for everyone.

Is it only true love if they’ve been married before and already have children? Weird take.

Im suspicious of the story they are telling too. But taylor at least was in a six year committed relationship (even if she was longing for matty healy during some of it), which i wouldn't call relationship hopping.

TS and TK are way past the age where most people find the love of their life. Either of them could have found a stable partner by now. They are not spouse material, neither for each other no for another person. All of this is a publicity stunt.

They are not most people. Taylor is arguably the most famous person in the world, and one of the richest. TK is a football star. They aren’t two college dropouts working the night shift at the local factory.

Taylor Swift can have kids whenever she wants to. Even if she is 54, she has the money and can get a surrogate. Even if this gets outlawed in the USA, Taylor Swift has enough money that will be able to have biological children with a surrogate from another country if she wants to.

That said, isn’t she a college dropout? Was she homeschooled in high school?

Ah yes, zero risks at all to IVF, extracting eggs, freezing eggs, using surrogates, and having babies in your 50s. Swift could die of cancer in a few years. Kelce could have early onset dementia in five years. How genius is that plan to have kids in her 50s going to be then? Life is short and these two are old and still acting like they're 20. It's cringe.

DP. What I find "cringe" is your bizarre insistence that 35 is somehow old. Seriously? You must be very, very immature to think something like that.

They both turn 36 in a couple of months. They're old. If this was true love they'd be hitched and she'd be pregnant by now. It's all a grift.

Why do people act like getting married and having children is a. Everyone’s goal, and b. Some kind of special achievement? Neither are.
Thank you. I’ve never understood this myself, like they’ve failed without marriage or children. My thought is that people that don’t want kids don’t want a 24 hour job and I get it.

I don't disagree overall but it's really not a 24/7 job if you're a literal billionaire. You'll have a staff caring for them. It's hardly difficult to make it work (at that level), if it's something you want.
Some people act like it’s some life failure to not want marriage or kids.

It is. And it’s literally all she sings about for the last 20 years.

That's preposterously absurd. It's simply a choice, one way or the other. You suck, actually.

What's absurd is to make corny songs about love, romantic relationships, and sadness about breakups as part of your public persona, while in your real life you conduct yourself as someone who has no interest in stable romantic relationships. In your mid 30s it becomes total cringe to hop from shomance to shomance for the teeny boppers. Everything has a self-life and this shtick ages like milk. Why not be honest and make music about being a party girl who is never going to be tied down by a man. That would be cool and authentic.

Are you twelve? You've got to be a middle schooler. At any rate, you're aware her last relationship, prior to Travis Kelce, lasted SIX years? I'd call that a stable romantic relationship. And it's highly amusing that she lives rent-free in your vapid, cavernous head. I tend to ignore things and people that I can't stand. Not you - you like to obsess over them!

It is okay if people disagree with you. You can love love love Taylor and the next person can this she is meh. Part of living in a democracy is disagreement. You are mature and smart and you can disagree without insulting people. Even if they don’t like Taylor.

I am a new postwr replying to you. Just want to point out that her prior relationship didn’t really last SIX years as you said. That’s what Tree Paine wants us all to believe. But if you listen to Taylor’s songs from those years carefully, she was clearly in love and likely hooking up with Matt Healy. I wouldn’t be surprised if her relationship with Joe lasted a couple of years, after which they stayed “together” for the sake of her overcoming her serial dater label and a career boost for Joe. Some of it was during the Covid years too and easy to cover it all up.
Listen to Folklore, Evermore and Midnights. Songs like August, Illicit Affairs, Gold Rush, Cowboy Like Me, Ivy, Maroon, Snow On The Beach make it pretty obvious.

Maybe not six years, but it looks like they started dating in fall 2016 and he’s credited as a songwriter on several songs on one of our albums put out during Covid. I highly doubt she would let him be a credited songwriter , and profit millions and millions of dollars from those songs, if they were in fact broken up at that time. So yes they could’ve broken up prior to 2022 but I’m betting it was if not six years at least five. We can argue about the semantics, but the point as it was a long-term relationship.

But why pick on Taylor for this? Can you seriously name a musician with a long career who doesn’t do this? The Rolling Stones are still touring, they are 80 and they are still singing songs about love and sexual relationships they had in their teens and 20s. Mick Jagger has tons of kids with several different women… Somehow I guess that is more acceptable than Taylor being 35 and not having kids yet. Same with Billy Joel… Late 70s and still touring on songs about relationships he had 50 plus years ago.

It just seems like blatant misogyny.

Because it absolutely is. The misogyny is massive on this thread. It always comes out - that she’s somehow a failure because she hasn’t reached the pinnacle of womanhood because she’s not married and has no kids, and therefore is an utter failure. It’s pure misogyny but they’ll clap back that they can have differences of opinion and hate Taylor Swift all they want and it’s a democracy, blah blah blah. That all might be true if they kept her fertility out of the conversation - but they can’t because internalized misogyny has them by the balls. Pun intended.

Oy vey give it a rest.

Billy Joel is a drunken serial DUI narcissistic scumbag sociopath who stole his best friend’s wife. Mick Jagger is a washed up junkie who hasn’t had a hit song in 50 years.

Happy now?

Getting married and having kids is so... ordinary. I say this as a woman who is happily married with kids, so I'm not knocking it. But it's ordinary. Taylor Swift is a self-made billionaire at the top of her game. She doesn't have to settle for ordinary. And if and when she decides she wants kids, she has all the resources in the world to make it happen. She is fine.

No, because people are fine with this and no one is starting thread after thread after thread “Do you like do you like Mick Jagger? Can we dissect every decision that he had made?” People just let them live and no one cares. That’s the point.

Happy now?

I doubt you’re married or have kids. No mother speaks of her children like this. Lying about such a thing speaks to how batshit insane some of you Swifties are.

Someone is batshit insane here for sure… Look, we get it. Your crowning achievement in life is that you got married and procreated. Congratulations? That makes you incredibly unique and soooo different.

What?? She isn't talking about her kids in any way. She's saying that people get married all the time and people have kids all the time. I totally get what she's saying and I'm also a happily married woman with kids.

What? I didn't say anything about my kids. My kids are great. But the fact that I got married and had children doesn't make me special or in any way extraordinary. Lots of people do it. Pretty much nobody except Taylor Swift is doing what Taylor Swift is doing, and she can have kids anytime she wants, IF she wants to.

Well according to this thread Taylor is old and washed up.

The point is, no one criticizes male rock stars for singing songs for centuries about love but Taylor must evolve every year.

Yes this is very teenager-y.
