Both- their college placements for boys are very strong--Villanova, JMU, UMass, Gtown, Mason, UNC- W, Ivys, W&M. Nearly their entire rosters have committed which in this day and age with boys recruiting is super rare. Far better than Next college results in this area for sure with the exception of Bethesda who also does very well.. There is no way these ECNL clubs will switch as there is no reason to change and dilute themselves. They've got great results for the type of customer they have (which is the college focussed customer).

Nah, what it is happening is that anyone who disputes some of the nonsense the MLSN people throw around is labeled an 'ECNL Hat' to avoid actually making an argument. As an outsider, I don't see ECNL individuals starting inflammatory stuff, what I see is GA fanboys wishcasting that the league will get better and MLSN fanboys in pay to play pretending the the academies are some how not a level above the MLSN pay to play teams. Overall, just insecure jealousy in many GA and MLSN pay to play folks on DCUM. Not sure why, these are just kids leagues. If they are coming mostly from kids playing in GA or MLSN pay to play that would explain a lot.

As a ECNL parent, I know many ECNL parents that are completely obsessed with MLSNext and GA. It definitely goes both ways.

Yeah not even sure why this is surprising. All the best boys are playing other sports, while at least girls soccer captures some of the best athletes here.

Sigh- not this again. Let’s again differentiate between the Academies and Next. When going head to head ECNL and MLS Next are at 50/50 from U-15 up. So no the pace of play isn’t 20% faster/better etc. o ly when you get to the academies is that a believable fact.
