Uhm- that is exactly who ECNL serves. Parents who want their girls (or boys) to use soccer as a pathway to a good college. If you don’t know that about their customer base it’s on you. Clubs are businesses who want to keep getting paid. |
Yeah, this isn't even controversial - it's just good business. |
As a ECNL parent, I know many ECNL parents that are completely obsessed with MLSNext and GA. It definitely goes both ways. |
It's funny because college committments are table stakes for all leagues. Its like a car manufacturer saying that they cater to the "tire focused customer". Yes we all want tires on the car we buy. |
Not GA families. They want to be pro players! The MLSNext partnership gives them the inside track to professional playing opportunities. |
All parents like dragging on the rival just to feel better about the league their kid may be in (or dreams they were in). |
Uncool sarcasm. While there is no pro path for GA players, slamming them is lame. |
Any chance skyline leaves ecnl and goes mlsn for the boys ?! |
True -- as that is the only soccer that really matters in the US. No one cares about the boys side. Girl dads will keep the focus on the girls' side for college admissions. That is why there will be no movement at MLSN from the ECNL clubs. The loud voices inthe clud are the girl dads and they often control the boards of these clubs. |
Yeah not even sure why this is surprising. All the best boys are playing other sports, while at least girls soccer captures some of the best athletes here. |
That is called stupidity. It really doesn’t matter |
On average, MLSNext team pace of play is 20% faster. It just is. |
Any chance MLSNext wants Skyline is the real question. No. |
I think you are trolling. Are you trolling? I mean, you are, right? |
Sigh- not this again. Let’s again differentiate between the Academies and Next. When going head to head ECNL and MLS Next are at 50/50 from U-15 up. So no the pace of play isn’t 20% faster/better etc. o ly when you get to the academies is that a believable fact. |
