Arlington or VDA could easily sell GA as an opportunity to dominate and win a natty. They will say that the scouting at the highest levels of GA, which they will be, are equal to ECNL. Which is true. |
Clubs have stronger connections/associations with college coaches and recruiters than leagues. |
Clubs will also point to the NWSL pro pathway that GA will be pushing in the next six months. In other words ECNL is for college pathway, GA is for pro pathway. I know it's not that simple but that will be GA's narrative. |
We see right through you GA admin. Nice try though. |
Will they get 2 GA spots like NVA/Loudoun? |
It’s a very big gamble to leave ECNL for GA if you have any ECNL competition within an hours drive.Teenage girls and their parents love posting ECNL in their bios.
In my area we lost 3 GA clubs to ECRL and replaced them with terrible girls clubs. On the west coast GA is probably the 3rd best option because ECRL sounds like ECNL and parents want ECNL. |
With the better girl players leaving the clubs, the teams will be more pedestrian. |
I’ve heard the same thing and I think if MLSN can pressure their boys side it could have a big impact IF GA can pick up legit ECNL clubs not the rejects. |
Not likely to happen because the there are so few pro slots per year but if it did, all the kids in ECNL teams will have to move to GA teams and then all the kids on GA teams will have to move to ECNL teams. So in the net, it won't matter for the players, they will just be forced to switch clubs. |
Teams are falling apart because they don’t have ECNL or GA so the top girls leave since RL is getting so weak. If they went GA those girls would stay. |
ugggh so did nva. And no they are not the same at the moment. Not sure where you guys are getting all this parity talk from. |
arl would be expected but they had that memo and insta post. Vda would be diabolical and left field. |
Where does/will bethesda sit? |
A professional pathway is the path for the best players. The best players play in ECNL. |
OP here this isn't about which league is better. That horse has been beaten. This is speculating about which club will leave ECNL next. |
