True, but at the moment, most of the traitors are in the white House/Administration/GOP leadership and ICE.

There is indeed currently a traitor in The White House based on his refusal to pick up the phone when top Federal Government officials were pleading for help from their Commander-in-Chief. Calling the Federal employees of ICE who are doing their job at the direction of the Executive Branch of Federal Government traitors is a poop move that only an idiot would do. Do better.

It has to be anything but rich vs the rest of America. They want you to focus on other things while they pillage America. Good little proles!

I'm not sure I'd agree with it being simply put as red and blue selling out America but no one can dispute the selling out of America by the RNC, DNC and the awful Federal level politicians with Rs and Ds next to their names.

ding, ding, ding, correct! The current long term struggle middle-class Americans face their struggle clinging on to political influence when the wealthy mega donors of the RNC and DNC are the priority of our Federal level politicians. It's going to take some refusal by the masses to reward R and D politicians with votes in order for the power to return to the people.

If 99% of the sheep are voting for Rs and Ds no matter what, why would our two awful major political entities do anything to upset an apple cart that is feeding them billions of dollars each election cycle?

But I also think there are a lot of progressives that would do likewise to white conservatives if they had the chance. If you’ve ever participated in Occupy Wall Street, BLM, Free Palestine or anti-ICE protests/riots/looting you can feel the hate. You can easily “both sides” this issue.

It’s what makes Trump so dangerous. The hate and dehumanization is already there. All it takes is an unscrupulous leader to unleash one side against the other. Both conservatives and progressives live in social media bubbles that demonize the other. And if you don’t think progressives are equally dangerous, you’re not paying attention. Ideologues are all authoritarians. That spectrum is a horseshoe. In the end, they are the same.

This poster has already justified the killings in their head. These posters are the same ones who walked in to a black church in Charleston or the synagogue in Philly and opened fire.

So yes OP maga is ready to go.

That was not a MAGA post.

He also bad mouths Blue states constantly, further adding fuel to the fire. I mean, it’s not Rwanda yet, but he is constantly and actively stoking hatred for non-Maga in his followers in a way that exacerbates political tensions. Who knows what will happen with another 3 1/2 years of this. He never shuts up.

This kind of one-sided analysis is stupid. Tell the truth about the rhetoric and dog whistles on both sides. Your safety literally depends on it. Unless enough people on both sides reestablish the norm that no one gets to incite, justify, or commit violence for any reason, this country is toast. Take it from an immigrant.

There’s no both siding this one, I’m afraid. The literal volume of hateful, divisive speech that emanates from his mouth or his social media on a daily basis far outweighs anything on the other side.

Exhibit 1. Why not just say “I disagree with Governor Newsom” like a normal president? Why go right to calling him Governor Newscum?

Aww I bet president ketchup says women are too emotional....every day he seems like a tiny petty overly emotional beta male.

I want to know why he doesn’t have a nickname for Bass. It’s down right sexist, not to give her equal treatment as Newsom.

Because he’s terrified of saying the word black, and he’s very insecure around black women. His deplorable treatment of Harris proved he’s a racist. He couldn’t stop saying black. It makes him sweaty. No doubt his handlers told him to knock it off which made him so nervous that it triggers more of his black rambling. It’s truly pathetic.

Here’s proof:

“All I can say is I read she was not black. That she put out. And—I’ll say that. And then I read that she was black. And that’s ok. Either one was ok with me. That’s up to her. That’s up to her.” [Debate at 1:25:11-1:25:20]

Trump speaking at the National Black Journalist Convention. What could possibly go wrong? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aGOqBgqWcr8

“I have been the best president for black people since Abraham Lincoln.”

“I’ve known her for a long time, indirectly, not directly very much. She was always of Indian Heritage and she was always promoting her Indian Heritage. I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago when she turned black. Now she wants to be known as black.”

“So, I dunno, is she Indian or is she black?”

“I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t because she was Indian all the way until she made a turn, and then she became black person.”

“I think someone should look into that.”

DP. It is a perfectly valid opinion to see problems with “both sides” (your words) and that doesn’t always imply that the responsibility is equal.

I am probably more left of center than most people and have personally thought of the DNC as a clueless bunch of ineffective and elitist fools. The DNC handed Trump both times. First by anointing Hillary and then by not fielding better candidates than Harris or Biden.

The MAGA republicans are the most corrupt and awful group of humans that we have seen is USA politics for decades.

Why would you try to censor the honest opinions of people who probably are on your “side”?

+1000!

Anytime you see the "both sides" garbage, rest assured it's some RNC or DNC hack employee trying to steer all criticism in one direction. Ignore those idiots.

This DCUrban platform respects and welcomes all genuine opinions to relevant discussions. Just be kind and loving to all. Many of us on here are newbies to politics

Don’t be fooled. The left will embrace what Trump has done and expand upon that when its folks are in office . Repeat the process with the right when its folks are in office after that. We need to break this cycle. Currently, neither side is interested in that.

What Biden did does not represent the left's approach to immigration and border security. For the sake of the GOP party, I sincerely hope very little Trump does is a true representation of Republican values. Blame the elderly, unfit presidents. The American people didn't know they were signing up for this madness.
You can say that. But, the American people did vote for addressing the illegal immigration problem, and that is what is happening.

It is notable that the press no longer shows hoards of migrants marching toward our southern border, assuming illegal entry is ok. Why is that ? Because Trump stopped it.

The same Americans who foolishly elected Trump and Biden and the rejected them 4 years later will once again reject Trump in 2028. None of this is rocket science. Just history repeating itself.

You clearly are not a rocket scientist if you think “Trump got elected”.

The election was stolen. Let’s be very, very clear about that. It was stolen, in 7 “swing” states, by manipulation of vote totals. Again, we need to be 100% clear and focused on this.

Umkay.... flash back to 2020 when MAGA idiots were making this same ridiculous claim. You have now revealed yourself to be no better.

+1. What laws were broken? Where's the evidence? This applies to both 2020 and 2024.

+1000 I'm typically critical of all of the awful politicians in Congress but I have to give the leading Dems in Congress credit for not pushing the ridiculous stolen election claims like many of the GOP Congressional leaders did after the 2020 election. Lindsey Graham is a good example of many supposed leaders who showed their sorry arses during the 2020/21 time frame. He questioned the election results in the weeks after the 2020 election, then just a few hours after the Jan 6th Capitol invasion he completely denounced everything Trump and admitted the election fraud claims were bogus in front of the entire world and then just a few months later he hopped backed on the sad and pitiful Trump train. What a loser.

About that, though….seems to be a bit of an investigation going on. Of course, lol, we aren’t going insane. I guess we started off more sane. As people that believe in science we can wait for additional information.

The pea-brained hyper-partisan folks are always going to find something to investigate. The GOP lost the 2020 POTUS election due to their very weak and unpopular sitting POTUS. The Dems lost the 2024 POTUS election due to their very weak and unpopular sitting POTUS. It's as simple as that.

So I see upthread here that OP is a vile anti-LGBTQ MAGA. Everyone presumed it was a liberal. Really no surprise that she is interested in violent fantasies.

I’ll stick to laughing and singing with my fellow protesters on Saturday.

Anonymous wrote:I think you're propagandizing yourself by focusing only on right wing violence. Try to focus on facts.

Both right wing and left wing criminals have committed acts of violence in recent times and throughout American history. Both left wing and right wing politicians and pundits have advocated violence openly and with dog whistles.

The current LA riots are a good example. Despite the "peaceful protest" narrative, we can see our own eyes people being extremely violent and committing arson. Before you waste time defending left wing violence as moral or somehow less violent because you agree with the actors' politics, understand what you are tacitly supporting. People whose position on violence is highly flexible due to partisanship stand for the idea that people get to be violent if they believe strongly in their cause or believe the other side deserves it. The problem is that EVERY violent movement in history and every side in a war, civil or otherwise, has believed the other side deserving and their cause just.

If you want to minimize the likelihood of running terrified while your former neighbors and countrymen hunt you down, stand vocally and unequivocally with zero exceptions for the conviction that violence is a completely unacceptable way to handle disagreements of any sort. Every time people pretend not to see violence when their chosen side is perpetrating it, they legitimize it as a fair response to themselves.

Equating people fighting for civil rights with a coup is really weak. They are not the same.

PP here. Has it not occurred to you that the people burning cars and buildings, throwing bricks and concrete chunks at police, and passing out improvised weapons might actually not give a single damn about civil rights? Do you really not realize that there are people who will take advantage of chaos to cause mayhem for the fun of it?

If you're on this board, odds are you're smart enough to have considered that bad actors are using the protests to cause mayhem. You just don't care because you're enjoying their violence towards ICE, police, and right wing people by proxy. That makes you a dangerous ideologue and you don't get to hide behind "fighting for civil rights" -- especially not when the nutjobs you're giving cover to are turning people against the civil rights causes that sincere protesters care about. People like you teem like roaches among Democrats. The leftwing equivalent of right wing nutjobs, except even more sanctimonious. It's a big problem.

anarchists are not democrats...they are anarchists, if that is what you are aiming for.

Either way, no one supports the violence, but be honest, it started with this version of ICE. These things didn't happen under Obama or Biden. Just Trump.

Then Democrats need to ditch the gaslighting "peaceful protest" BS and say, hey, these crazies aren't part of us and we denounce them. That's not what Democrats are doing though. When bad people use you for cover and you let them, you go down with them.

Why do we need to disassociate from people who never had anything to do with us in the first place? Wouldn't we have to first accept them before rejecting them? We never accepted them to begin with. It's just the crazy/dishonest right wing that's making that false association, not us.
