I am talking to a lot of Democrats who want Trump to succeed.

Wishing ill?

Stripping out everything that makes this country great so billionaires can be richer? That isn't "making america great again" that is stripping the country down and selling off the parts.

If that makes me a LWNJ wishing ill, then sure, I will embrace it.

NP. I am not wishing ill on America.

You have a warped take on what's going on. The problem here isn't "LWNJs" - some rando liberal poster on DCUM isn't going to destroy businesses across America.

Trump, on the other hand IS THREATENING AND PROMISING ill on America that will result in the destruction of thousands of businesses, and we are merely pointing out the likely consequences, along with the folly of those who voted for it. That's your REAL problem - not "LWNJs wishing ill."

Perfect example right here:

Get in touch with reality and reframe your thinking about what the real problem here is.

unfortunately i believe this guy is right. Trump is not going to go to constructions sites in Florida and Texas, on dairy farms in Iowa or South Dakota, on farms in the Central Valley in CA to round up the illegal immigrants working there. the owners of those businesses are staunch republicans, vote for the low taxes and love employing illegal immigrants because they work hard and keep their businesses afloat. Trump is there for the show, he is going to do raids in NY and SF, with Fox News showing people dragged away while the Police beat up left wing protesters, and his voters are going to cheer the return of law and order. Trump is a POS but is not totally stupid. the dairy farmer in SD has it right unfortunately, he is not going to pay for his vote.

What you don't get is that Trump and Miller will put pressure on ICE to deport illegals, and ICE will go after the low-hanging fruit to show numbers. That's those farm workers.

How do you equate "hope Trump succeeds" with "wishing ill on half of America." He either "succeeds" with what he promised he will do, or he won't. If success to you means wishing ill on half of America, there's a problem. If you voted for him, you should stand by that his success is America's success. Right?

I didn't vote for him but the things he promised them is not to make the lives of poor people harder. That is just how LWNJ interpret is promises.
He promised to reduce illegal immigration. That will not hurt them.
He promised to focus on the economy. That will not hurt them.
He promised some crazy shit about tarriffs and expelling millions of illegal aliens. This will not happen.

They just want bad shit to happen to them because they want to believe that trump voters are stupid and voting against their own interests and THEN they [frequently] claim that THEY (the Harris voters) were ALSO voting against their own interests because Trump will make them richer. But they are the smart empathetic kind voters but not anymore. Now they want bad shit to happen to people who voted for trump, many of whom were simply voting for change because inflation was drowning them and all they were hearing was DEI stuff and trans stuff.

I think it remains to be seem if 'reducing illegal immigration' will hurt folks. As the farmer video shows, reducing migrant workforce will in fact hurt everyone.
His promise to "work on the economy" means increasing gains to the rich. That will indeed hurt poor people. Trickle down economics doesn't work and someone has to pay for those gains. It's not the rich.
He promised "some crazy shit" that "won't happen." Why did you vote for him then? I'm hearing an awful lot of "but that won't happen," "he can't do that," "never in a million years." Why did you vote for someone promising to do things you are so sure he won't do?

You actually believed his lies. You and Trump are both idiots.

We can only hope he continues to be incompetent and can't manifest any of his promises. Just like the first time.

We need a bingo card every time Trump says, "Who knew [insert policy he promised to solve] would be so hard?" So far, it's been healthcare and bringing down grocery prices. I fully expect the same from tariffs, mass deportations without negative consequences, solving housing crisis, and cutting government spending (without touching the military, Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security).

Luigi Mangione is American citizen and he killed Sullivan
in cold blood. The two supposed assassination attempts on Trump were Americans citizens. I bet there are more American thieves, murderers and drug addicts than illegal immigrants who simply want a better life and whose work ethic is a hell of a lot better than US citizens.

When you are paying $5.00 for one apple then your teeny tiny little mind might understand that illegal immigrants kept the food supply going.

Well said!

People voted Trump because they are fed up with our society, and they are desperate for change. If Trump is as bad as we think he is, society only gets worse.

What do these successful democrats think happens when society gets worse? There will be more shootings of successful people in the streets.

So your point is that, when Trump wins and delivers what he promised because MAGA republicans voted for him and his promises, it's the democrats fault?

Typical.

Also, there are not "shootings of successful people in the streets". There was one shooting of an unapologetic 1%-er who made his fortune on the backs and deaths of America's most vulnerable sick and dying. I am wealthy and successful by many standards yet I have zero concerns that someone will target me for any of those things. If anyone will need to start watching their backs it will be the billionaires supporting Trump. MAGA gonna be bigly mad when they finally start connecting the dots...

Again, it's incredible how foolish you are. When there is chaos, no one distinguishes good people from bad people.

If demonizing the 1% -er who was killed makes you sleep better at night, have at it. This man was working within an existing system that promotes that level of greed and callousness. Many comfortable people including doctors, lawyers, bankers, lobbyist, consultants etc are working in the same system. If you think people who are hurting for one reason will continue to make distinctions between this man and them, you are naive. If they were capable of distinction, we will not have Trump as president, and we would not have had what happened on Jan 6.

We need to come together to fix this country. You might be shocked at how your fellow American is reacting to the issues facing this country, but you cannot ignore that there are real issues. Wishing for Trump to make things much worse just so you can gloat is childish and unproductive especially because you and I will definitely not be immune from the consequences.

Some want Obama care repealed, all illegal immigrants deported and heavy crackdown on crime including shoplifting,
and on and on.
Most are well off business people and professionals and will benefit from the tax cuts and becoming Trump police supporters after they voted for KH and are so disappointed after she lost.

Yes, and I want the democrats to stay out of it completely. I don’t want to hear a word from them unless it threatens our very existence. Let them have at it. Let them try to do all those things.

I want to see how they twist themselves into pretzels while they control every branch of government, and there is nobody else to blame, if it doesn’t go well.

It’s going to suck re-living the 30s. Trumpers are so ignorant and so spoiled, they have no idea how awful unregulated greed is.

Hey trumpers, Google polio and the FDIC.

They won’t be able to deport many people. Just a total lack of resources and manpower. Plus, the country of origin has to accept them back. Perhaps some criminals may get deported, and then there will be some tragic stories of people caught up in this. But mostly other countries will say; we don’t want these people back, or; they are not ours anymore! Europe has been dealing with this for a decade with no solution in sight.

Regardless from the fiasco that immigration has always been, democrats need to wake up and realize that the majority of their constituents also want to crack down hard on crime. I would love to see arrests and sentences for every carjacking, etc. If El Salvador could make a complete turn around, so could we! (In less than a decade, El Salvador has gone from the murder capital of the world to having one of the lowest homicide rates in the Western Hemisphere.)

The border was always wide open! That includes all past Republican presidents.

Legal immigration was always unnaturally difficult in the past 40 years, including all past Democratic presidents.

In short, immigration is a mess, and has been, for a very long time!

Trump did have one trick up his sleeve to slow down immigration - he made the country so uninviting that fewer migrants made the attempt to come here.
