Shouldn’t be legal.

I’ve always known Oprah cared more about money than anything else. She is not the wise saint people think.

Signed,

Dem

I’m so disappointed in Oprah. I’m not a Dem but I’ve watched Oprah for decades and had a lot of respect for her before this election. I was disgusted that she got involved in politics this time and made some politically (and apparently financially) motivated comments, and that’s after saying in the past that she thinks Trump would make a great president (which she conveniently cut out of her videos that she uploaded onto YouTube - a dishonest act that I also didn’t expect to see from her). Maybe I’m naive but I really expected more from her.

I remember reading an interview with Oprah decades ago and she made a big deal about growing up poor and essentially being obsessed with saving money. It was obvious that she had quickly become a diva who needed a certain lifestyle plus millions more just in case. She has no children and was never known to be philanthropic beyond her failed efforts in Africa…where, let’s face it, your relatively small donation goes a long way.

She’s a grifter like the rest and doesn’t belong on a pedestal.

According to Snopes, this is not real. No one knows yet.

Turns out the Harris campaign also paid Al Sharpton $500,000 to interview Kamala on MSNBC.

Didn't know that back then either, did you?

Harpo production confirmed they got paid.

It really is disgusting but I did not give any money to any party so do not care. If I had donated I would be super pissed that billionaires got paid when thousands of people volunteered countless hours to support their candidate.

They supposedly raised over $1 billion to spend on this campaign. Did it wind up in the pockets of consultants? Go to the stars they paid for entertainment? Genuinely curious as to how this could have happened. And wondering if the lower- level staffers who actually worked their tails off for weeks ever saw a paycheck.

It’s possible because she and her inner circle were dumb and can’t manage money much less allocate it.

Yes. This is absolutely a big part of it and a big part of the reason why she lost. Just couldn’t manage a team and a budget effectively.

She paid Oprah’s people $2.5 million for one celebrity town hall that absolutely swayed nobody.

Meanwhile Trumps team were delivering clever micro-targeted ads to expose the contradictions in her policy stances that actually swayed voters. Eg targeting Muslims with ads touting her strong on Israel support, targeting union members with ads that she is a strong supporter of California’s ban on sale of internal combustion cars and targeting
Black men with ads that she is strong on public health and wants to ban menthol cigarettes.

I doubt anyone on this board watched the UFC fight this weekend at Madison square Garden.

That place was nuts for Trump.

Does anyone have a running tally?

This is confirmed:
- Sharpton’s non-profit: $500k
- Oprah’s Harpo Productions: $2.5m

This is rumored but not confirmed:
- Beyoncé: $10m
- Megan Thee Stallion: $5m
- Lizzo: $3m
- Eminem: $1.8m

The UFC demo is kind of home terf for Trump, no matter where the event is held.

She spent over $1.5 billion dollars. She didn’t win a single swing state. Her campaign was an epic failure. She hired out of touch consultants who wasted money on failed events. The weirdest thing about her campaign is how she kept campaigning with Liz Cheney, thinking that she would win over massive numbers of Republicans by appearing with someone who lost her primary in a landslide.

Her campaign was a remake of Brewsters Millions.

The older generations are truly money obsessed. They don’t know when to go home and relax. Look at Nancy Pelosi trying to get another term at 86 and Joe Biden upset he couldn’t get another four year term to end his presidency at 86.

They needed the celebrities because they couldn’t fill rallies with young people without it. She pretty much went on tour. Quite notably, Taylor was nowhere to be found (and I am sure her campaign asked). She’s still a secret Republican and a DINO-Dem in name only. Nobody can convince me otherwise. She would never turn down a paycheck or a Pr opportunity. She loves the camera

You actually had the morality to be disappointed in Oprah after what she has done in Maui? Set a false charity for Maui residents and rather than contribute asked others to do so. She then went about buying houses damaged by the fires to expand her holdings in Maui even more. She has abundance issues and now that Ozempic has removed her need for eating abundant amounts of food, she is grasping and cheating her way through her quest to acquire.

She was also trying to get some tax benefits from the Obamas for the OWN network and was angry when it was declined. Sounds very Republican. Her girls school in South Africa was rife with fraud and a known tax write off. Oprah is about the grift. Her father even said she lied and made up stories to exaggerate her poverty. That she didn’t grow up with pet roaches nor did she ever smoke crack nor was she sexually abused. He claimed she told him that she said these things for ratings and to get the part in the Color purple as her real dream was to be an actress and she hated that Whoopi became the breakout star and never forgave her for it. He claimed Oprah was a spoiled kid who went to great schools and got a great education and even won a pageant at her HBCU TSU.
