The lady is a genius. |
Dp. Oprah was not paid. Her production company and her workers were paid. But we all know Trump doesn't pay his people for their goods or services. Just steals them |
Oprah didn’t get paid, just her company? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? |
+1 Eh Dems will find all sorts of excuses. Blowing through 1+ billion? that's okay because Trump is worse. LOL |
| Anyone have some gossip or tea on how much these consultants made? Are they friends and associates of O Malley Dillon and Plouffe who were making out like bandits. |
Yes, the people who provided the services got paid. |
What about employees? |
Yes, Trump is worse. He uses people and never pays them |
If they worked than they got paid |
|
Trump also went through around $1.2 billion in his campaign. Where did all of his money go? Why isn't that being discussed?
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/06/us/politics/trump-harris-campaign-fundraising.html But really, the biggest thing is the fact that it does cost more than a billion to run for President. That's just crazy and goes to show how far out of control the money game in American politics has gotten. When one guy, like Elon Musk, can personally pump $250 million into an election, that's pure corruption of democracy. We NEED campaign finance reform. We NEED hard, strict limits. Maybe something like $50 per candidate per cycle - and if you want to put $50 into a pac that is then your contribution and you can't contribute to individual candidates. And maybe we should have all campaign spending flow through a central platform so that it can be tracked, and criminalize any kind of outside spending. |
It's a short sound bite. So of course democrats will glom onto it. |

Some Democrats have criticized the millions of dollars Harris' team spent on the large-scale rallies featuring major celebrities, arguing that the money could have been used elsewhere in the party's bid to hang onto the White House.
"The damage that the 2024 campaign has done – the damage that this decade has done to a Democratic brand – is almost unfathomable," political strategist James Carville said last month during his "Politics War Room" podcast. He called for an audit of Harris' 2024 campaign spending as Democrats look beyond their loss to Trump, and as the party considers whether their defeat this November will equal trouble raising money for other liberal causes in the future. https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/elections/blanketing-swing-states-and-booking-big-name-celebrities-how-kamala-harris-spent-2024-campaign-cash/ar-AA1vpQku?ocid=BingNewsSerp |
Do you have a source or just pulling this out of your a**. Trump is always worse (/s) but guess what? His campaign is not missing 20 millions and most importantly he WON |
Are you a complete moron? (that was a rhetorical question) Trump has a long history of not paying people for work they do for him. This one is from Fox news from 2016, so even you MAGA morons can't argue. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dozens-of-lawsuits-accuse-trump-of-not-paying-his-bills-reports-claim "Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been sued at least 60 times by individuals and businesses who accuse him of failing to pay for work done at his various properties, according to two published reports. USA Today also reported, citing data from the Department of Labor, that two of Trump's now-defunct businesses were cited 24 times beginning in 2005 for failing to pay overtime or minimum wage. The cases were settled when the companies — the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City and Trump Mortgage LLC — agreed to pay back wages. The paper also reported that more than 200 liens have been filed against Trump or his businesses by contractors and employees dating back to the 1980s. The claimants include curtain makers, chandelier shops, cabinet makers and even Trump's lawyers who represented him in prior cases." |
Curious—does Oprah Winfrey make any money from Harpo productions? |
