Anxiety level going uppppp..

Harris is paying off influencers to say they are switching from Trump to Harris. Three videos for payment.

Latest was with a Muslim influencer. She refused to talk about Gaza. And instead she pivoted to talking about bacon is a nice spice.

Partly because Trump is breaking down and the undecided prob going for Kamala as well as more people hate him than dislike her. I will not be voting for either but I pretty much guarantee that she'll win it. There's simply no way people will let Trump win again. No matter how many supporters he has, and u know he has a lot, he antagonizes people way too easily and it's 2024 not 2016 when people wanted to take a chance. He's had one and people will give Kamala one this time around. I don't think she'll do very well but I know he won't get another chance. It's just not how this country works.

If you have been listening to Trump’s rally speeches over the past few weeks and still cannot vote for Kamala something is wrong. Trump’s own campaign advisors can’t rein him in. Do you think he is fit to be president? Would any company ever hire Trump as employee? Think about that. A non-vote is a vote for Trump.

Policy is forever. Trump is at worst President for four years under mostly divided government.

I'm a different poster but what Trump says at his rallies is barely interesting.

Policy? Like a nationwide abortion ban?

I’m no Trump fan but what nationwide abortion ban are you talking about?

It’s fear mongering. Where has he ever said that? Abortion is with the states, it will stay with the states and no matter who wins, neither one can do anything about it!!!

It doesn't matter how many times you post attempts to minimize this critical issue. It's a really, really important issue that is driving millions of votes in this election. That is just a fact whether you accept it or not.

I haven’t posted at all in this thread but it’s misguided thinking into believing that either one of these candidates can do something about abortion! It’s with the states and it will
stay with the states.
Do some research instead of spreading misinformation

You are the one spreading misinformation. Just for the opportunity to possibly make a scotus nomination alone, it's a critically important election in terms of starting to regain rights.

What the hell are you talking about it will be a federal ban and contraception as well and we women will no longer be voting, Trump said no more constitution

Have you not read project 2025 have you not head Trump
Have you not listened to Vance and The Heritage Foundation

There will be no states rights how are you so dumb a king means a king we will have no rights

Debunked repeatedly.

No, DENIED[i] repeatedly, by a guy who couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it. There's a difference.

You’re the one making the baseless allegations and that’s all they are. Trump has stated he wasn’t involved in the creation of 2025 and had his own blueprint. He has said he has no plans to ban IVF or put forward an abortion ban. It would be overturned by SCOTUS anyway which has made clear abortion is a state issue. Stop with the misinformation.

Can I interest you in Bitcoin? Perhaps a bridge? How about some gold-painted sneakers?

I’d be interested in evidence if you have any. Seems you don’t.

Okay, let's start with an IVF ban. There was no ban that was interfering with the clinics in Alabama that stopped offering IVF. They stopped all of their own volition so why are you talking about a ban?

That is not the issue even if you keep repeating it a million times. You don't even seem to understand why IFV is in jeopardy.

You mean the state judicial ruling on embryos that prompted Alabama to write a law specifically allowing ivf? None of which had anything to do with Trump who isn’t even a resident of Alabama??

Yes. It has nothing to do with an abortion ban. It has to do with fetal personhood. And the majority of this country wants the protections of Roe to protect IVF in addition to abortion rights.

many votes are going to be cast over this issue tomorrow.

So now you’re backtracking on your ridiculous claim that Trump wants a federal contraception ban?

That's not my claim. I don't think Trump personally gives a rat's ass about any of it. He manipulated the abortion issue to get votes but he really screwed it up actually getting roe overturned. All of the problems are the result of losing the protections of Roe and that cat is out of the bag. There's nothing he can do about it.

He didn’t screw up. He rectified a fifty year judicial mistake, and solidified the GOP base behind him accordingly. And he is leading the polls going into tomorrow, so I’m not sure why he should worry he can’t do anything about it. He is exactly where he wants to be.

He screwed up and he knows it.

No. I believe that there are more Republicans who care more about country than supporting their party's mentally impaired and morally corrupt candidate. I expect Harris to win by a good man margin.

I think some of you are going to be absolutely shocked and then crushed tomorrow night.

You will also realize (maybe) how much you've been lied to by the media.

This is such made up crap. What are you talking about. The media has been subtly pushing a Trump inevitability angle for the last couple weeks. All of a sudden we get one gold standard unherded poll and we're being 'lied to by the media' for taking it seriously?

I agree, we HAVE been lied to by the media. Because of the infiltration of betting markets into the US election system. I think gambling on election outcomes should be illegal in our country after this.

I don't know a SINGLE DEMOCRAT who feels calm or confident. We're nervous AF. I may be shocked and crushed, but not lied to by the media. The 'media' has done a plenty good job stoking the fires of my existential panic attack for the last few months.

Registered Democrat who feels calm but not confident. Maybe that’s bc I get my news from a wide range of sources and viewpoints.

I get my news from a wise range of sources and viewpoints. I just think most of us have 2016 PTSD.

:raises hand: I certainly do! 2016 knocked all the optimism out of me for elections.

Democrats have won the presidency 12 of the last 16 years, and the single republican win causes them ptsd?

It's Trump specific, not about electing a Republican. Dems wouldn't feel this way with a Romney or McCain win.

I remember both of them being called Hitler and that they were going to take away abortion too.

Funny thing is that they were RINOS

You can’t truly know what is and isn’t unprecedented within a single lifetime. Most generations witness comparable or worse political violence than this.

Not in my life time, and not here in DC. And it's kind of a weird flex to say "there's been worse", as though that excuses what's happening now.

In living memory there was a ton of domestic bombings, even in Congress!

Now some of those bombers are professors (see weather underground)

Nope, I remember telling my second grade class that either McCain or Obama would be great because I respected McCain but felt Obama was an exciting historical choice for the fact that a poc was even on the ballot. Just one gal’s experience, but…

Specifically on the issue of abortion, Republicans have long staked out the position that they wanted Roe overturned. Romney and McCain were not pro-choice.

Are you sure?
Because Trump is sheer madness at this point. To wit, the article on his ‘patented’ weave technique. Read it, it is no longer comical.

Doesn’t matter. We have solid checks and balances in place. The President cannot destroy the country.

PP here: Your comment reminded me of hearing of members of Congress breaking out gas masks and strategizing what they would do if the doors were breached. Right, it was normal until it was not--and it still is not since the person who sent them is running for President.
