Someone here keeps on emphasizing this like its a 'gotcha' and I have to say you are hilarious. My Hindu-vegetarian Brahmin intellectual family had no problem running several restaurants and fast food places, with their kids serving all kinds of meat and alcohol as part of their jobs. Their kids worked their asses off while going to university and pursuing advanced degrees that supported their careers. There's nothing to brag about or not here - we just did what we had to do, just like any recent immigrant group in the late 70s/80s/90s. |
“I grew up middle class”
-Kamala Harris |
Show us credible evidence that he personally, directly and regularly experienced rockets and mortars and IEDs detonating in his immediate proximity. We'll wait. |
Except Trump didn't work at a McDonalds. He went to a McDonalds that was closed for business during his visit, where he did some cosplay and play-acted working, with actors pretending to be customers. It's comical that you claim (without evidence) that Kamala Harris lied about working at a McDonalds, yet here we now have proof that Trump claims to have now worked at a McDonalds except it's a lie and he only pretended to work at one, given it was closed for business and only had fake customers. Seems like a backfire to any thinking person. |
Companies typically only keep employment records for 3 years and people are expecting McDonalds to have records from 40 years ago?
Or have saved their own paper tax records that old?!?! Hahahahahaha |
So when Trump shut down that McDonald's restaurant for his photo op / play date, did the franchise owner also revoke his employees' hours and wages for the day?
Did Trump's childish stunt create underemployment? |
Meanwhile Vance spread racist lies about Haitians eating cats/dogs. But that was ok? |
If anything, unless it is reported, it is a federal election donation that needs to be reported. |
What is worse - lying about working at McDonalds or lying about government controlled of healthcare? |
Your point? |
He’s such a sucker. So easy to bait. |
can you say why? A serious question because it’s not clear to me why people see this as a great stunt. Maybe I would feel differently if he’d put in an actual shift, with real customers. But nothing about this was working. Surely anyone who has ever held a job like this can see that. Just because a kid wears a hat that says “principal for a day” and makes a few announcements over the PA system doesn’t actually mean she’s in charge of the school. I just genuinely don’t get this one and am trying to understand what people are seeing and celebrating here. |
Harris fumbled this one, shes in a tough spot right now, does she try to connect with the working folks by doing a visit to a fast-food restaurant or risk doing it and being called out by trump? This was a brilliant move by trump and the polls are showing Pennsylvania is moving in his direct and he's ahead now. Time will tell if this moves it over further. |
I mean....she did. Raised by a single mom and I don't get the vibes that her dad was paying a ton in child support. Her mom worked in medical research for public institutions. Sure, it's a stable life but everyone knows it is the worst paying part of the medical field. An RN will typically make more money than PhD-holding medical researchers. |
Right? They must be livid that he hasn’t shown his college transcripts, tax history, and medical records! Oh… |
