Surprised at Claremont Mckenna

CMC parent here. It's ... a work in progress. They are trying to do something novel and interdisciplinary but unfortunately it's not yet exactly ready for prime time in terms of courses on offer. Perhaps the launch was rushed? Many of my DCs friends still need to get PERMS (professor requests) to get into other science classes at the other 5Cs and now that's made a bit more difficult with them investing so hard into this new program. Seems like they're still working out the kinks.

CMC is a good safety option for kids who aren’t really Bucknell material.

We all wish we could go to HYPSB, but alas

So sad because the idea is definitely interesting but too experimental/untested for our family.

It’s collapsing under its a weight. No student in the classes and the program makes no sense. Faculty are lousy

Amazing school

Crappy location
Crappier academics. Full of midwits with pretensions

Having beef with a school like Claremont McKenna is certainly interesting

It's really BHS these days. Princeton and Yale pretend they are keeping up but they are coasting on past glory.
