Male. Govt/history/politics/IR-related. In-state VA. Doesn't qualify for any aid. Willing to pay if a distinct advantage over other options.

Go to Princeton if admitted. No reason to choose GW if in at Georgetown. BC and Pomona are a bit far afield if interested in DC options.

I'd choose William and Mary or UVA unless Georgetown price is similar. If it is, Georgetown might be best.

Georgetown would be full pay. UVA and WM would be full pay in-state. Unfortunately, we don't qualify for $$$ anywhere.

How did you get aid from GU??? I'm assuming OOS so aid at UVA.

OOS for all. Law, social justice, poli sci orientation.

Money is a factor but doesn’t have to be the only factor.

We’re struggling with this so any insight is useful!

Are the others full price? Hard to turn down a full ride to UNC - it’s a wonderful place to be. Save $ for grad school. Congrats!

UVA

Northeastern

Way down the next choice after those three in order.

UVA if "prestige" matters.

Northeastern based on quality and Boston location. If Europe or Oakland, nope.

Miami for sure especially if you have the money. The best of the three academically and socially. Your kid will have a blast and will have a strong alumni network around the country including in NYC.

The cost of attendance for Miami and Richmond is similar for us.
But I have heard a lot about the party school things about the U, I just do not how bad it will be. We can afford the cost to attend but we are definitely not in the position to spend extra money on such kind of things.

Full Pay. But, with the scholarships/merit received they'd all be about $20-30K range.
Pre-health (dental, PT, or advanced nursing). They don't all have nursing, however, that is not the decided path. If that is the decision, could do an accelerated path after grad. We have a 520 that could cover the 4 years at these prices, and likely the accelerated program, as well.

Did NOT want a big school. Already decided against a T15 school that was a reach but made accepted. Too expensive, far away, and not the right fit after visiting and doing full tour. I thought DC was crazy but it's their decision and >$80K/year I get it.

Gettysburg

+1 Gettysburg, like it a lot

I agree, that is quite impressive. All great schools but UNC is wonderful and a full ride is incredible. Congrats!

Emerson College
SUNY Purchase College
Fordham University
Muhlenberg College
Drew University
VCU (in-state for us but finances not a factor)
Elon University
Belmont University

Child interested in communications and media studies, possible voice/music minor, languages, creative or performing arts. Decided not to pursue BFA (has musical theater background) and more interested in liberal arts with opportunities for music and performing. Prefers city environment but found other campuses appealing. Pretty artsy, independent thinker. Has math learning disability but otherwise strong academic profile (especially language arts).

Emerson seems like it should be the obvious one, but for some reason I read your post and got strong Muhlenberg vibes.

Yes the others are full price (save a few scholarships, say, $5-10k).
