I thought the same thing. Her post in Sidwell’s alumni magazine about PPP, and now this book screams “I have an unhealthy obsession with Sidwell…and I have lots of unresolved issues.” If she’s happy with Maret she should focus her energy on that school. Help your new HOS from Whittle. |
Agreed. Did Sidwell reject her children? What is this really about? |
Talk about an obsession. |
Why is there an assumption that this particular person wrote the book? Is there evidence beyond she’s a “Sidwell alum with a beef”? Surely Sidwell has more than one disgruntled alum. |
Because there isn’t anyone else who fits her profile (based on the author’s bio). |
I mean, most people pay others to help them with their trauma. she's making money off of hers, so maybe she gets the last laugh? |
And she looks crazy at that same time. That doesn’t sound like a win for her. |
So lame. The book and this thread and the bumps. |
Your post is so…ironic. 😝 |
NP. I’m not a fan of Sidwell. But my bet is that she was able to sell a book about Sidwell but not a book about Maret. The obsession (or strategy of you want) is with money and acceptance from the publishing industry. |
Exactly! Who has heard of Maret outside of the Beltway? No one would care about a book written about Maret, except Maret parents. |
People like to read about rich people behaving badly. Just like watching the Real Housewives or seeing Aunt Becky go to the slammer. Lots of good material at Sidwell. |
“Woke” is enormously popular and profitable. People are interested in equity, diversity and inclusion. Only fragile white peoples who think they’re good people and are tired of all this race talk already have objections. |
I doubt this book sold more than 1000 copies. it really is crap |
Some SFS alums just cannot resist buying it. |
