Amazing that the top dmv publics are doing just as well if not better than most privates too!

They have 500 plus kids in their grades - there is no comparison with the percentage of the class that goes to top 20 schools.

Holy Child is once again proving itself to be the standout girls' Catholic.

Churchill is doing a great job. A ton of Ivy admits!

Meh. 5 Ivies and 1 MIT.

Two Hopkins and UVA

Whitman has 10 kids at Ivies plus 3 kids at Duke as well as Wesleyan, Middlebury, and Northwestern.

Across the board admissions seem better this year than last year. Are kids applying to schools that are better fits for them from an admissions perspective? Is it that the changes COVID brought to the admissions process are being undone?

I’m a private school parent and do not find it threatening when children at public schools or other private schools do well.

I think more like 300 plus, still big but not sure about 500 plus at W schools.

Why is that amazing to you? That is totally expected in this area given the saturation of highly educated parents.

The insistence that public schools are just a good is laughable. Yes, they might be. Why come to the private schools forum to say it over and over?

Seriously. All the money poured into private school education and extra tutoring, etc. for private school kids, it’s no wonder they get into good schools. The surprise is that so few of them do, given how expensive their education is and how connected their parents are.

No “top” DMV privates are doing better than GDS and Sidwell, so far. Nice try though.
