How many times have you had Covid?

Agreed agreed agreed. These so-called 'health officials' cried "Wolf" on this - if the next pandemic (heaven help us....I don't even want to go through this again) is actually deadly, they lost their chance at getting anyone to comply like this ever again.

No more masks, no more shutting down society, NOTHING. Life has risks, accept it.

New York City's life expectancy dropped by more than 4 years in 2020 because they were the ones who were originally hit with Covid. I guess you want that to happen everywhere.

NP. Zero, and that is with very regular testing including weekly PCR for awhile. I’m sure at some point I picked up sub-detection level Covid, because I’ve had so many positive encounters, but I’ve never had a symptom or tested positive.

Zero tested, though I have recently stopped masking indoors 100% of the time (now only in very crowded places) so expect I may get it soon.

I don’t want that to happen everywhere. So the next time something like covid hits, the immunocompromised—the real victims of covid—should receive financial support from the government to isolate themselves and/or work from home. The rest of us can live our lives as normal.

Twice, last August and then in December. Both at concerts.

Never and I've been in my office without a covid closure for years. No WFH.

I'm immunocompromised. Thanks for saying I don't get to live my life. Even if I wanted to isolate completely which I don't, please explain how this is even possible. I have to go to medical appointments, and no they all can't be done virtually.

None. And I have been going to restaurants, bars, gym and travel with DH for past 2 yrs. Maybe asymptomatic?

You do get to live your life as normal, if you want. You just get financial support so as to allow additional precautions if you so choose.

What's the issue here? Are you asking me to explain how people isolate themselves during a pandemic? Millions of perfectly healthy people accomplished this during covid, and it was their compulsions that drove politicians to endorse school shutdowns and business closures.

What about the 40% who are obese? The elderly? They also didn't do well with Covid.

How is this limited to Covid?

Guarantee life expectancy is increasing now because some elderly people died a year or two before they would have pre-Covid.

Husband: "Why haven't you gotten covid? You don't vaccinate and no longer mask"

Me: "Why did you get Covid right after your booster. I told you not to boost"

Him: Silence
