I don’t accept the word “evil” as an explanation for anything. |
Same. I want to know why, even if th answer is "psychopath" or whatever it is. With this one, I cannot guess, never heard another case like it. |
| My thoughts are with her children and any ither victims of this souless monster. Pleae hold them in your hearts. Please let them heal. She is no reglection on them and their inncocence. |
Right? Obviously I don’t know what, if any, trauma she suffered as a child. But I was sexually abused by my foster brother, and never in a million years would I want a child to go through what I did. I know exactly how painful and traumatic it is. So if she did have trauma, I don’t understand how she could want to perpetrate that on someone else?! Yet I understand that, at least for males, the abused often becomes the abuser. I don’t understand the reasoning behind it. |

How do so many people on this board know this woman?
That is not disturbing to anyone? |
Did you read the first paragraph of the OP? |
UVA and RVA mean nothing to most of us. You know that, right? |
I don't know her, but it makes sense enough if she went to UVA, was from a prominent family in Va and associated wirh multiple groups? People will know of her even if they didn't socialize with her. I never heard of her, but for Charlottesville/Richmond, you'd know the name , I would assume. No one here said thsy were close, except one person who claimed to have slept with her at uva, ugh!! |

My personal belief is that "evil" is born of trauma. Not excusing evil acts but making sense of them. Sometimes it's an idea you can follow such as ... kid grew up being deprived and abused in multiple ways, grows up to be impulsive and angry, commits escalating crimes from thefts to carjackings, for example. It's not an excuse but you can see how it happened.
This one, we have no template for it. She's not like any other abuser I ever read about. |
| I know her, her brother and her ex-husband. |
Then please spill about what you know. Please. Even just how she gets along with people, reasons for divorce, custody situation. Spill, please! |
Lots and lots of evil people come from great homes with no trauma. The columbine murderers, Bernie Madoff, Sam Bankman fried, that guy who murdered a family in Connecticut (but not before raping a daughter-- maybe 10 or 11-- in front of the mom). Most people who grew up with trauma do not go on to commit crimes. I don't believe trauma is an excuse at all. And I grew up with trauma. It doesn't make you do anything. If anything, it makes it clear why you shouldn't. |
You are wrong. Sometimes evil is just evil. Statistically small, but exists. Some people are simply wired wrong from birth. |
It’s clear that you failed statistics class. |
Lol what are you talking about. DCUM loves UVA—too much. |
