F*** off. I highly doubt that Christians would understand an LGBT atheist like me. Commercials like this do not belong on Super Bowl Sunday.

All Jesus ever did was love you as you are, however you align yourself. On the other hand, you're seeding animosity. Why do you think love doesn't have a place on Super Bowl Sunday?

For one, "Jesus" commercials were inappropriate at best. Jesus would not be supporting that utter shit.

I love how either side knows what Jesus would support!

NP to this thread. I think the issue with the Jesus commercial is that it felt manipulative because it was sponsored by Christians, a very SPECIFIC GROUP of Christians (Hobby Lobby CEO) that have done A LOT to foster that hate and foment it in our society. I actually appreciated the message at the core of the ad, but felt it was a bit like an arsonist who burned down my house telling me that they just wanted us to make up and be friends again.

It really was not the stuff of other years. Lacked energy.

So happy to see the Jesus ads in the top 15!

The Dawn project was not shown nationally and the visuals and simulations were quite suspect.

Auto driving is in its infancy. Yes there will be incidents, deaths and accidents, but in 50 years the Dawn project will be irrelevant.

Think of the guy who drove off the PCH over a cliff in a Tesla and everyone luckily survived. You can hate on Elon all you want but those cars are incredibly safe.

Safe for the people inside, maybe but not for anyone else around them if they’re using the self driving technology that is nowhere near ready even though Elon keeps lying and saying it is.

Thank you for showing just how intolerant the side who says we should tolerate everyone and be all inclusive really is.

Try telling Mahomes and Hurts not to kneel or pray during a game!

NOBODY says we should tolerate racists, misogynists, or traitors.

Try replacing your words with gays, blacks and people who wear white after Labor Day.

Jesus message is we should love everyone. That was the message of the ads.

Sure they do; they just don't call them that. I suspect they don't see them as that.

But if you're telling me that you can be indifferent to someone's physical well-being because you're sure they're going to go to hell otherwise, then yeah, you're the problem.

Praying for you.

Me too. I hope pp doesn’t go to Hell.

Jesus likes PP better than you.

How would you know? You don’t know Jesus. I know Jesus. Jesus loves us all.

Jesus doesn’t like judgy twats.

Really? Because you bible thumpers are the most judgemental, stick your nose in other people's business kind of humans so your post makes zero sense.

You are lumping all Christians with the same large swath. I am a Christian. And I liked the Jesus commercials as they actually gave Jesus' message not the white Christian nationalist message. Unfortunately, the white Christian nationalist have given Jesus a bad name. There are many, many of us who are pro choice, and believe that Jesus's message is one of love and fully accept and embrace those of different faiths, sexual orientation, etc. That was Jesus love and message was about Not the right wing Maga Christian nationalist. They're just a subset. A very loud unchristianlike subset.

Seriously? And you wonder why people hate you.

No, that's not a thing for the "tolerant side".

As far as my favorite commercials, I thought the NFL female football one was great. Dunkin’ Donuts. The two dog commercials pulled at my heart strings so while they weren’t my favorites because they made me laugh they were very impactful.

That add from “The Dawn Group” was a total fraud, from a business competitor, who is trying to develops their own self-driving technology (and market it, for profit).

Check this out: https://techcrunch.com/2023/02/12/tesla-dawn-project-super-bowl-fsd/

“The Dawn Project’s founder, Dan O’Dowd, is also the CEO of Green Hill Software, a company that builds operating systems for embedded safety and security systems, as well as its own automated driving systems. That fact at once lends credence to the organization’s potential subject matter expertise, and makes it clear that Green Hill is in competition with Tesla’s FSD. Last year, The Dawn Project took out a full page ad in The New York Times claiming Tesla’s FSD has a “critical malfunction every eight minutes.”

After The Dawn Project aired a commercial last summer showing a Tesla Model 3 striking four different child-sized mannequins while driving a test track in California, Tesla sent the organization a cease-and-desist letter. The letter refuted all of the campaign’s claims, doubled down on Tesla’s commitment to safety and called to question The Dawn Project’s methodology.

“The purported tests misuse and misrepresent the capabilities of Tesla’s technology, and disregard widely recognized testing performed by independent agencies as well as the experiences shared by our customers,” wrote Dinna Eskin, a Tesla lawyer, in last year’s cease-and-desist. “In fact, unsolicited scrutiny of the methodology behind The Dawn Project’s tests has already (and within hours of you publicly making defamatory allegations) shown that the testing is seriously deceptive and likely fraudulent.”

Oh, and the CEO just happens to be running for a senate seat too.

The guy can be a skeeveball with an agenda and the facts laid out in the commercial can all be true. It should not be legal to drive with something like that if it is failing those tests

Are they?

Same.

And I admit I've become more questioning of where alcohol shows up in our lives since I quit drinking in September and read Quit Like a Woman, so Serena Williams hawking Remy Martin through inspirational speeches to athletes was disappointing.

Meh, this is a bit sanctimonious. A lot of people enjoy a drink without it ruining their lives.

Eh, how much Remy Martin do you think Williams was consuming as she won all those tennis championships? Because I am guessing very little, if any. The # is TeamUpForExcellence

So, how many M&Ms do you think Maya Rudolph consumes? How many glazed donuts do you think JLo eats?

You seem fun.

I’m simply responding to the argument that what a person promotes has to actually have any personal relevance to their life. Hint: it doesn’t.

Hint: we can disagree.

That’s fine, but frankly you’re the one who doesn’t sound fun. I’ll be over here with my cocktail.

np Not everyone needs to have a drink to be fun. Your idea of fun and my idea fun are different but, at the very least I won't be doing any damage to my body and mind.

I missed the Miles Teller Bud Light one, but saw it today - very cute. And makes me think it's possible Teller isn't a douche. I find him very hard to warm to as an actor.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Workday "rockstar" ad! This was funny. I too am so tired of this phrase being used at work.

That was a lot less treacly than the patriotic bullshit and the Pat Tillman bullshit and the Eagles coach sobbing during the national anthem.

"Pat Tillman bullshit"

WOW
