What to reclass again to 2027. 2026's are not trying out for Madlax 2026 on 2/25 they will be busy to trying to make school varsity teams. Madlax 2026 will be looking for some players for sure or will the 2025 Madlax players reclass to 2026. oh boy!

what's your point? MadLax holds tryouts every season (summer, fall, spring) for all of its youth teams. At least they are honest about it. Programs like VLC, DCE, and Next Level claim to have tryouts just once a year, but everyone knows that they will add a player on literally any day of they year if they think he is a good add at that moment. The MadLax brand is in decline among elite players due to the departure of the good 2024's and 2026's and the rumors about 2027's and 2028's. But they still have an endless supply of families lining up to join their teams. On their online 2026 roster they have deleted the kids who jumped to Next Level, but they still have 19 boys on Capital and 25 on DMV. I bet that Cabell is actually happy to get rid of some of those families, such as the LSM Dad. The MadLax train is rollin' on.

ummm, there are going to be tryouts in case anyone has a son that would like to tryout?

I thought what you said was pretty straight forward. The other dude must be some sort of political operative or something.

It is straightforward for MadLax. They hold tryouts several times a year and now is one of those times. Check out their web page.

Next Level right now has too many 2026's and trying to shed players from both its Blue and Red teams. Unless your name is Gait, Thompson, or Powell, don't bother contacting them.

I mean, yeah it is possible to play D1 at some lower ranked academic and lacrosse schools. But there are only about 20 men’s lacrosse teams at schools that are competitive in terms of admissions. All of those teams are just recruiting the top athletes that will never have any difficulty making any club team. If it is touch and go making a Next Level or DCE or Madlax roster maybe you might finagle an offer from [insert name of lower ranked college], it isn’t really worth pursuing and there’s basically no scholarship money for such a player so there’s not that angle either

I’m watching this thread with amusement. My son was recruited and committed his junior year to a D1 program, but he’s also a 3.8uw student with 1580 SATs and a boat load of APs and DEs. He applied to a bunch of schools anyway and got into a T10 engineering program EA and promptly decomitted. I’m glad he’s going to have a great college experience free from the grueling practice schedule of a sport that has no future and frankly nobody cares about.

It’s crazy how little emphasis you people put on education.

Congratulations. I for one do put all the emphasis on education and then lacrosse. But let's get back to the regularly scheduled program "As the world of MADLAX 2026 turns.."

This story makes no sense. “A sport nobody cares about…” posted on a lax forum by the parent of a supposed D1 commit? What?? 🤣

Sorry to hear that your son lost the interest to play D1 ball. But sounds like he is on a good path and it will work out fine for him in the end.

Just looked at the MadLax roster online and it is pretty thin. They have a few players listed twice so it looks more fulsome but I only counted 16 players. Are they planning to beef it up by summer, or are those players going to look for new teams?
