Barbie trailer

I think it’s going to be a pop-culture phenomenon and I love it.

Yes regular people who are not publicist use this kind of language

Is the premise Barbie and Ken are getting old? Both Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie look old. He is 42 and she is 32. But I think the both look older than that. She looks 35 at least).

That's fine with me. I'm tired of going to Spider Man and other super hero movies with my son and I'm glad there's something my daughter is interested in. I'm taking her to Barbie and my son can go to Mission Impossible with his dad. Something for everyone.

This quote is tenderized it’s startling. Why can’t you and your daughter go to mission impossible as well? Those movies are fun.

Because we've seen all those. We want something different. There aren't nearly as many movies that seem to cater to a female audience, or anyone else, who doesn't need another action, super hero, spy, car chase, etc movie. There are soooo many of those. I could not care less about Mission Impossible, nor could she. Are you planning to see Barbie?

Nice try. Sorry that one pink movie this year bothers you. There are plenty of other movies you can see this summer.

gender and movie preference are not mutually exclusive--at all. and if someone, male or female, does wasn't to see anymore action, super hero, spy, car chase, etc movies, that doesn't mean they want to see Barbie. None of your conclusions make any sense at all. And no, won't see Barbie, annoyed by all the corporate hype.

Of course you won’t see Barbie. So close minded. You have no leg to stand on here.

He was on the Mickey Mouse Club with Justin Timberlake - he can sign and dance almost as good as JT!

Wow! He is beyond talented, I had no idea he could dance like that!

So many multi-talented former Mouseketeers:
Ryan Gosling
Justin Timberlake
Britney Spears
Christina Aguilera
Keri Russell
Britney Spears

Oops, the last one should be JC Chasez.

I've been kind of underwater and don't understand why there is such a veritable blizzard of clearly over-the-top marketing-driven buzz about this movie. It looks ok, but I don't feel convinced that we needed a Barbie movie or that I should go see it. Why is this getting pushed so hard? Who is funding this uncommonly large PR barrage?

I am aware of Gerwig and Baumbach and like to watch both Robbie and Gosling, but I don't find Barbie at all compelling.

Mattel is behind it. It’s the first in their push to make multiple movies based on their toys. I find that really unappealing, despite Greta Gerwig.

I find the sheer everywhereness of the marketing kind of off-putting. If they're pulling out absolutely all the stops in an effort to unite all of humanity in the support of one thing, they choose this? I don't mean to suggest we can't have fun movies, but enough with the pushing!
