I have no skin in the game but enjoy following this slow-no car crash. It’s like a Turkish telenovela , not very good and predictable but so many subplots:
Why is anyone sending their kids to this school? Will the founding HoS who’s now HoS at Maret and whose wife is on the investment committee at Whittle be paying back the favors, if any? Will the other parents on the investment committee be revealed for who they are and machinations that kept the other parents on the hook so the school doesn’t implode before the former small group’s kids graduated? Who will get paid? Who won’t? Will the boarders get fed (with $5 donations collected by the wife of the new HoS at Maret) or fed up? Bonfire of the vanities before you even get to Whittle himself. What’s not to like, especially if you don’t have any skin in the game? |

Perhaps this has been said already - The new Maret HOS with a wife on the committee at Whittle hasn’t been at Whittle since 2020. He worked at a school out of state. For the people complaining about how could Maret hire him, need I remind you that Maret is going downhill. They are so desperate for teachers that they hired a nanny without a teaching degree for next year. I had kids who went to whittle and now go to Maret and the only difference (besides the financial) is that Whittle had teachers with Masters while the Maret hires anyone off the street. |

Oh, I don’t know, the wife was still there as of this year to make sure her kids graduate and had been active in the infamous parents’ investment committee.
Maret HOS by his own bio is was *Founding* Head of School of the newly established Whittle School & Studios, an innovative educational startup in Washington DC According to Whittle he was deep in the mix and I don’t recall him sounding any alarm when he moved on in 2021 or when his wife was sending Signal messages to the other inner circle parents at Whittle in 2022 |

I don't think anyone in this thread is going to let facts get in the way of a delightfully absurd conspiracy theory. I am still struggling to understand exactly how this Maret scheme was supposed to work. Regardless, I would rather know more about what is going non recently with Whittle School and Studios (which I thought was the purpose of this thread). |
