That bolded part should be a sticky that goes at the very top of the soccer front page. |
MYS just changed the date of the town hall. |
You are welcome. This wisdom was passed down generations in my family. |
Hey they just changed it for you! Now Thursday. Which bar are we hitting up before cause I really want to hang out with all of you |
MYS leadership reads this board. Confirmed. |
I havent seen any "leadership"-ha |
You have no idea what you're talking about. Clyde is one of the most honest, humble and professional coaches in all of youth soccer. He's respected and trusted by top college coaches throughout the country and one of the main reasons why McLean continues to have the successful college placement that it does. |
+1 Sounds like someone is sour grapes about their kid. |
CW is awesome but please stop talking about college placement. College placement, college placement, college placement, we get it. But when are we going to talk about the ugly side of that placement? Not knocking kids here but How many times have we seen McLean place D2 level kids into Major D1 colleges? And then 1 year later those kids are either in the portal or thinking about quitting because they are the 27th player on their roster? But thats not important. Eat those orange slices, Suzie…it’s halftime. |
How is that the club's fault what the hell? Pretty sure any kid would take a D1 offer over a D2 regardless of where they think they are at |
And a stupid email at that. NM never misses a chance to take a shot at the boys side. Saying negative things about coaches to parents is not a good look. Those teams are part of your club too. The last part of that email was really interesting. ‘If anyone has attended another ID session or is thinking about it and has not talked to their coach, I encourage you to reach about before making a decision.’ If anyone knows how NM has dealt with these situations in the past then I highly advise you to not say anything. Besides, they already know this information anyway. You can’t continuously brag about the quality of your program and in the same breath try to control what every family does. What some might call a strategic move to retain players sounds like a lack of confidence on Mclean’s part. Ask around. Ask some of the McLean alum parents how NM has treated McLean players after finding out they attended other ID sessions. That dog house is real. |
If their goal is to play they shouldn’t. But you know McLean needs to inflate those numbers. The club is supposed to assist them in getting them to the appropriate college level. |
This is soccer not government contracts. There is no such thing conflict of interest. Soccer is one big community where coaches can coach multiple team in different club |
They can also do private training or own a company to training |
I doubt this happens very much at all. Kids go intot he portal for lots of reasons. Not on club. |
