To find a brain tumor? |
| Frankly I'm still happy the gun man has not been found. Hopefully he never is. |
Seriously, PP? The mother is telling you her child had a brain tumor, and you're arguing as to whether an MRI was justified? Something is very wrong with you if you want to argue this point. |
Yes, their denial rate of claims is more than double than industry average. So, let’s start there. That’s an easy CEO fix. He could say: “If a kid has cancer, we cover all MRI’s. And, if a kid has cerebral palsy, let’s cover his wheelchair.” Just two of many horrific examples, just on this thread. |
So you really want to live with third world conditions where vengeance is extracted on the streets? |
We also need to have a conversation about why MRIs are so much more expensive in the US vs the rest of the civilized world. |
+1 |
And with socialized medicine... services are denied, not claims. |
I’m pp, and you’re also an @ss when you say it’s been fine for my family, so what do you ghouls want? That’s what wrong in America too. We’ll work on healthcare, while you work on your piss poor attitude. |
I think the answer is yes, UHC is worse. And the whole notion of for-profit health insurance is distressing to many. As for the exec, I think there’s a good case that the super rich CEOs are in some ways inherently bad. The pay packages are obscene and they put their own profit ahead of the good of the people who need health care. |
+1. We have been stuck on crappy HDHP plans for 10+ years. When I bring my sick kid to the pediatrician, I have to tell them I only want a strep test and I do NOT want a Covid and flu test too because I’m going to be stuck paying for all them myself. It’s shocking to me how many doctors and practices have no clue about the insurance plans many of their patients are on. |
Yes, if you’ve been paying attention at all you’d know that UHC is demonstrably worse about denying claims than other companies. And regardless, if health insurance company profits are built on denying claims they should be paying that’s a problem. |
Fun fact: we pay more for MRIs (and every other procedure) in the DC metro area than DE or even Western Maryland. They upcharge us…because they can. |
I’d like a billionaire to stop spoon feeding me news, especially as we have elected a felon who has an unprecedented 11 billionaires in his cabinet. Okay? |
