This deserves a thread of its own. Looks like Noem is being sidelined by Trump for now.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is sending his "tough but fair" border czar Tom Homan to Minnesota. The move, which will see Homan report back directly to Trump, cuts across DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, who is under increasing pressure after deadly clashes between federal immigration enforcement officers and protesters. Homan is seen as a potential rival to Noem for her role. "He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. "Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me." The White House said Homan will manage ICE operations in Minnesota.

Too late, the damage is done. Steven Miller got his taste of blood and he's not stopping.

So,what do you think will happen when someone — possibly Vance — points out to Trump that a major reason that his approval ratings are tanking both domestically and internationally is because he’s trying to implement the fantasies of the unelected and unelectable Miller? If it’s a toss up between facing his own narcissistic injuries and tossing the too-big-for his britches Miller, I can see Miller getting tossed and publicly blamed for everything about Trump that his polls dislike.

Trumps going nowhere. And Vance doesn’t have the rizz, like zilch.

Trump is seriously undermining legitimate police/LEO.

They murdered an innocent civilian. Domestic terrorist? GMAFB. Who would celebrate a terrorist like that?

The political left who wants more martyrs like George Floyd, that's who. It is incredibly easy to not get killed by ICE - 99.9999999999% of Minnesotans have managed that. But if you take a loaded gun into a volatile situation where a mob has been on the brink of violence for days, you are rolling the dice that you will be that martyr and get the hero's treatment from the left like this guy is getting. Rest in peace.

The political agitation on the left is MAGA's wet dream. The administration wants to cause strife and conflict and chaos so they can impose the Insurrection Act, suspend civil liberties and continue in power without constitutional niceties like presidential term limits and elections. This is really they're only play as the know, to borrow the words of your fearless Orange Leader, the days of reckoning and retribution are coming.

I don't think the Insurrection Act means that the states can't hold their elections.

States are holding their elections. Many primaries are in the next few weeks, hence the MAGA freak out!

Good, he’s not in charge anyway and he’s tanking support for the GOP.

This is really distressing. It's a concern for anyone who is serious about law enforcement.

To everyone who says: Protests don't work. Activism doesn't work. Legally observing ICE activity doesn't work.

Trump is about to back down. He's reassigned Kristi Noem away from Operation Metro Surge. Bovino has left Minnesota. Even many Minnesota Republicans are demanding this occupation end.

Resistance is the way. I am so f@cking proud to live here. Wherever they go next, never ever give them a goddamn inch.

Actually, Walz and Trump talked so there was probably a deal cut. Trump forced Walz to the table.

Kind of like when he pardoned people guilty of maiming police officers.

Yeah, you betcha. Walz had just sent in National Guard, and they were packed to stay. Meanwhile, Republican politicians were diving off the ICE ship, and Trump had to replace the person in charge in Minnesota because the snafu was so bad.

So, yeah. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Try holding a doll.

Hanahahahaahha!

Omg lmao…oh, yeah, more of that 4D chess where Trump makes himself out to look like a total loser in front of the entire world and get nothing he wants.

I’ve never seen her answer so deferentially. They know they’re done.

With Horman on his way to Minneapolis, they may be getting ready to throw either Noem or Bovino under the bus. Trump clearly wants those two out of the media.

I'm surprised Bovino lasted so long in the spotlight. He SO SHORT.

They’re calling him 1/3 Reich.

They need to lose their freedom, as well. Jail for both of them. Time to get the real criminals off the street.
