VHSL Boys Lacrosse 2026 Season

When you really look at their schedule, they have maybe 1, 2 bad losses, and they just absolutely dismantled a stone bridge team that was largely regarded as a team in the running for the 5A state championship. Put some respect on Flare and the boys in green.

Are you kidding me? SB was a paper tiger. They were 5-0 based on 5 games vs Class 4 teams! Those Class 4 teams are a combined record of 5-21 to date.

Nobody was talking about them being a 5a state contender, unless you went to or are a parent of a SB player.

It is very obvious that the Langley players are the ones on the board posting a bunch of trash.

This is not new and happened last year. They went so far as to make inappropriate comments about the student body of several of their rival schools.

Will be happy to point the Langley coaching staff to the board and have them handle it, as Im sure that they would agree that these boys need all the practice they can get and not spending their time online hyping themselves.

Realistically, Langley is still a top contender despite their bad losses, and I doubt using the forum has an effect on their performance seeing how they played against SB, maybe losing to McLean was the catalyst they needed to get everything started

FWIW, Stone Bridge is still 4th in 5a by LaxNumbers rating (~RPI) and their "Strength of Schedule" is 6th or 7th best in the top 20 of 5a. I have no dog in that fight, just looking at the numbers.

Not saying that makes them a state contender, but they should make the playoffs and win at least their first game right?

How are people saying indy has no good wins? They beat the number 1 team in Illinois with multiple d1 commits, also a private school. After watching that game, Loyola Academy would beat most teams in the area. Other than maybe riverside

Regardless if you think that posting trash online effects their performance, there is only one person who matters, the Langley coach.
Happy to ask him if he thinks its wise for them to keep it up here, shall we?

If we can consider Langley a top contender then McLean is up there too, they have shown they can compete with great teams and have been on a uprise if I do say so myself

Neither are top contenders:

These are the only six teams who have a legitimate shot, ranked in order of likelihood.

1. Independence
2. Madison
3. Cosby
4. Robinson
5. Battlefield
6. Yorktown

"You know those rating systems are flawed. They don't take in account houses that have... uh... more than two television sets... and other things of that nature."

Sure chief, unlike the other systems that are perfect? Like the opinions of players or parents? Or just your flawless perpsective?

Are you saying that Stone Bridge is significantly worse than about the 5th best team in 5A? Who is better? Name the schools.

McLean competed with Battlefield missing key players, I would argue they are a better team than both Battlefield and Yorktown

Oakton is better than McLean, neither is in the mix.

I am trying to follow along here, but you make no sense. Ill be your huckleberry and say that yes, SB is the 5th best team in 5a.

Are you saying that Langley beat the 5th best team in 5a, so that makes them a contender for 6a?

McLean won’t win its district let alone play in June. This is dumb.
