When you really look at their schedule, they have maybe 1, 2 bad losses, and they just absolutely dismantled a stone bridge team that was largely regarded as a team in the running for the 5A state championship. Put some respect on Flare and the boys in green.

Are you kidding me? SB was a paper tiger. They were 5-0 based on 5 games vs Class 4 teams! Those Class 4 teams are a combined record of 5-21 to date.

Nobody was talking about them being a 5a state contender, unless you went to or are a parent of a SB player.

FWIW, Stone Bridge is still 4th in 5a by LaxNumbers rating (~RPI) and their "Strength of Schedule" is 6th or 7th best in the top 20 of 5a. I have no dog in that fight, just looking at the numbers.

Not saying that makes them a state contender, but they should make the playoffs and win at least their first game right?

LOL, But "LaxNumbers" says...... its a flawed system

"You know those rating systems are flawed. They don't take in account houses that have... uh... more than two television sets... and other things of that nature."

Sure chief, unlike the other systems that are perfect? Like the opinions of players or parents? Or just your flawless perpsective?

Are you saying that Stone Bridge is significantly worse than about the 5th best team in 5A? Who is better? Name the schools.

I am trying to follow along here, but you make no sense. Ill be your huckleberry and say that yes, SB is the 5th best team in 5a.

Are you saying that Langley beat the 5th best team in 5a, so that makes them a contender for 6a?

Who has said anything like your last sentence? WTF are you talking about? WTF does this have to do with Langley? This discussion is about Stone Bridge and if they are actually good or not.

Here I'll answer your question:

NO, SB would be a top Class 4 team, not class 5

Only 2 Teams can win 5A. Riverside and Douglas Freeman. That's it.

Maybe 6 Teams can win 6A. Indy, Robinson, Madison, Cosby, Yorktown, Battlefield. Everyone else would one of these teams to forfeit to win states.

FWIW Currently of the 6 aforementioned state title contenders Laxnumbers has Loyola Academy ranked lower with than everyone except YT. That said, LA is right there with most of the 6. Doesn’t change my mind, Indy is the front runner but LA isn’t a powerhouse, either.

This is not new and happened last year. They went so far as to make inappropriate comments about the student body of several of their rival schools.

Will be happy to point the Langley coaching staff to the board and have them handle it, as Im sure that they would agree that these boys need all the practice they can get and not spending their time online hyping themselves.

Realistically, Langley is still a top contender despite their bad losses, and I doubt using the forum has an effect on their performance seeing how they played against SB, maybe losing to McLean was the catalyst they needed to get everything started

If we can consider Langley a top contender then McLean is up there too, they have shown they can compete with great teams and have been on a uprise if I do say so myself

Neither are top contenders:

These are the only six teams who have a legitimate shot, ranked in order of likelihood.

1. Independence
2. Madison
3. Cosby
4. Robinson
5. Battlefield
6. Yorktown

McLean competed with Battlefield missing key players, I would argue they are a better team than both Battlefield and Yorktown

Oakton is better than McLean, neither is in the mix.

Disagree, McLean is in the mix and better than Oakton check laxnumbere, McLean is better than Cosby, Cosby has not played a competitive game and will lose tomorrow to Yorktown

McLean is 12. It’s Indy, Robo, Cosby, Battlefield, Madison, Yorktown. After YT they’ve got Langley, Oakton, WestPo, West Springfield, Chantilly and then McLean.

Agree with this for the most part, I only have 4 that are real 6A contenders.
6A
Favorite: Indy
In the convo: Cosby, Madison, Robo
Long shots: YT and Battlefield

5A
Favorite: Riverside
In the convo: Freemen

4A
Favorite: Salem

Stop using LaxNumbers and watch games. LN is bad to begin with and even worse from private to public and worse still from one state to the next

Yorktown x and goalie play will hold them back, it’s a shame

Stone Bridge is def in the mix in 5A. They have the best overall player and a few very good defensive pieces. It was a bad game. They will play Riverside probably 3 times and you never know what can happen. Ask Indy last year they finally beat Riverside after 8 games by 1 goal and all of a sudden they are the best team ever. All it takes is one game then SB is the favorite.

I heard that McLean is missing a majority of their roster for their game against Patriot due to prom and is having to rely on JV call ups

Did Yorktown and Cosby play or is that tonight?

Right because the opinions here - Indy would beat STAB! YT will win state! Robo’s mom is a MILF! - are so discerning and analytical.
