BOE - who are people voting for?

As already explained, MD law requires her to resign her teaching job before becoming a BOE member.

Is she married? Otherwise how does she intend to support herself?

Does Zimmerman intend to leverage the BoE position to get a new job? That should be a red flag.

They should force the BOE president to resign as that is a conflict of interest.

At least make her divest her MC stock.

However, Diaz resigned from MCPS and complained to the board that wearing a mask violated her freedom of religion.

You don't need to convince me that Diaz is crazy. But it's pretty absurd to suggest that she has the same equities with MCPS teachers as Zimmerman.

Diaz supports moms4 liberty and libsiftiktok both are extremely conservative horrible organizations that right there should be the reason one should not vote for her.

She also is endorsed by those groups. Including united against racism in Education code for racists.

What exactly besides chaos and hate will she bring to the BOE?

But being only one person, she has no hope of meaningfully advancing any policies on that within MCPS.

Ok sure however who votes for hate who votes for stupidity who votes for someone who cannot control their anger?

Moms4 Liberty candidates do not belong on one BOE anywhere same with LibsofTikToc she literally supports a group that is tied to bomb threats at schools? You are ok with that risk more power to you.

The current board members are incompetent and ran MCPS into the ground in terms of safety, academics, and finances. So, No, I don't suppport her but did she choose these endorsements or were they just given? I do not want any current sitting board members on the board and they all need to go. They keep promising better and improvement and year after year things get worse and worse.

She gets one vote. The BOE president dictates how the members vote so she will toe the line like the rest of them.

She supports them
She linked them to her social media she wants the Heritage Foundations curriculum in MCPS she promotes that on her social media

Stop deflecting if they are on her social media and she supports their policies she supports them .

If libsoftiktoc endorses you or moms4Liberty that means your policies are the same as theirs. Both orgs are unacceptable period.

This is far more of a direct conflict of interest than the situation with MC. Even if she resigns.

How, she has no influence in mcps. Mc job is a huge conflict.

She would have influence if she was a BoE member.

That's not what it means, but yes, she's crazy. But one crazy person who can't do anything is better than one more person actively working against your interests.

"They" who? You're welcome to contact your state legislators if you want to suggest they pass a new law.

Which would establish the conflict of interest.

It should concern everyone if she intends to enrich herself through the powers of the office.

Wrong. Former teachers are permitted to serve on the board, and have done so for many years. Diaz is also a former teacher.

I didn't say it wasn't permitted. I said it was a conflict of interest. Which it is.

You've heard the analogy about a Nazi bar, right? Never let them in the door, not just once, not because they seem nice, and not because you think they won't be able to do Nazi sh*t if there's only one of them.
