| No matter how good the job offer or housing costs, where would you stay away? |
| Probably Dallas and Atlanta. |
|
Any city/town -- any whatsoEVER -- the kept and keeps voting for Bush and then McCain. It's a narrow, long winding band that sort of skirts the Appalachian Mountains and includes the cities on either side.
Seriously, I would quit work and hide before you could relocate me to a place that is proud to vote for "anybody but the black guy." |
| Miami |
| Anywhere in the South (except Miami) or Utah. |
| Baltimore |
|
Pretty much anyplace between the Rockies and the Blue Ridge. And most of the South. Wait..most? Yeah, no. All of the South.
I'd make an exception for Denver. |
|
I'm not going to call the Appalachians or the wilds of Montana metropolitan for purposes of this question, although I wouldn't live in either of those places either.
New York and L.A. Definitely not. Probably not Miami with kids. Places I WOULD relocate: Denver, Boulder, Charleston SC, Philadelphia, Austin, probably Boston, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill |
Same here, plus anywhere south of here. |
| Texas. |
| Well I am entertaining a great offer in a Detroit suburb but don't know about going there........ |
This is a good list. But really, my list of places I WOULD relocate is short enough that I can rule all the others in the US out. There's NY, LA, San Francisco, Chicago, and maybe Boston. Possible argument for Philadelphia. Didn't like Seattle enough to want to live there. |

Los Angeles
|
| The Northeast and large parts of the Midwest. |
| If we're talking major metropolitan areas -- LA and Detroit |
