GFR Falling apart?

Dear GFR Families,
We have recently become aware of targeted outreach directed at several of our youngest travel teams by a competing organization. This solicitation has included various claims about our club and coaching staff, and we would like to provide you with the facts to ensure you have an accurate picture of the upcoming season.
First, this type of solicitation is unethical, unprofessional, and contrary to the spirit of our governing leagues. We are disappointed at the ongoing continued targeting of GFR. We have notified the appropriate league officials and governing bodies to ensure these matters are handled through the proper channels. Behavior of this nature creates unnecessary distractions and is exactly the kind of "drama" that detracts from the youth sports experience.
Regarding the upcoming Spring season:
Coaching Stability: No coaches have been dismissed. All coaches currently assigned to their teams are scheduled to lead them through the spring season.
Personnel Policy: As a professional organization, GFR does not discuss confidential employment or personnel matters. However, should any coaching changes occur for any reason, GFR is committed to a swift, professional transition to ensure minimal disruption to our players.
Next steps for families: If you have felt external pressure to sign new agreements or commitments, please be aware that you are under no obligation to do so. GFR remains fully prepared for the spring season. Our priority is—and will remain—providing your children with a positive, competitive environment.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have further questions. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to a great spring season.
Best regards,
Paula Abbate
Executive Director

Insane it had to be written

Insane that she has to spend time on this rather than continuing with the positive changes over the past couple weeks.

Guess this might be a topic for the GFR town hall next week!

Ugh, I hope not. These people should not distract from or take another minute of our time.

Oh, they notified league officials and approving bodies? Hopefully those officials and bodies respond to NM with, “How about that karma?”

I didn’t think he left FVU mid season and tried to take players to a new team half way through the year. I thought FVU let him go at the end of the year so Brave could takeover and continue its tradition of lackluster performance, and some players/parents followed coaches they liked to a new club for the next season, as is their right. Hardly comparable.

Yep. Looks like this whole thing didn’t really gain traction — most families are sticking with GFR. When it comes down to it, people value stability and a place they trust way more than pressure deadlines or big promises. Keeping the kids together with their teammates, coaches, routines, and friends matters, and it avoids all the unnecessary drama and uncertainty that comes with bouncing clubs midstream. At the end of the day, youth soccer should be about development and a good experience for the kids — not adult turf wars — and I’m glad most families chose the steadier option. Could be a different situation after the Spring season, who knows. But for now it seems people are realizing that GFR is making improvements and based on the communications I've seen from PA, they seem to really care about the families, coaches and kids.

I think that's the same answer. One concern troll tried to leave, team didn't go, now posting a lot to try to make up for it. Go scan the NCSL schedule for R(b)FC teams if you have any doubts.
