Also, his mother and kids sitting in the court room? What the actual F? I can't even comprehend the logic. Does he think this makes him seem human? It just makes him seem deranged he would want any of these people to hear all this.

Agree. I have to say what I find Also disturbing is the amount of people on social media who are defending him like “sex preferences aren’t a crime”. He used his power to force this woman into this relationship and she felt like she could never get out. It was a huge imbalance of power. Then he blackmailed her to keep doing it.

But that’s not the part he’s on trial for this is just setting the scene for the kind of individual he is. He’s on trial for the sex trafficking of the prostitutes.

The sex trafficking is definitely a crime. Hiring prostitutes, giving them transportation, is sex trafficking.

Yes, that’s what is said above, the sex trafficking is a crime. But he’s not on trial for coercing Cassie into having sex with them. He’s on trial for the actual sex trafficking. People online are excusing him for his sexual preferences from wanting to watch Cassie have sex with other men. Two different topics.

I was responding to the poster who said they didn't understand whether what he was doing is illegal. It is illegal. So at a minimum, he should be found guilty of sex trafficking. He is also a disgusting individual and so is every single person who enabled him. And as a society, we need to really ask ourselves why fame, money and power are so intoxicating that we would even consider associating with (much less date) a person like Combs, Weinstein, Epstein, etc. Cassie herself testified she thought Combs would help her music career. And then she found herself in so deep, well, you know the rest. Not victim shaming, just so sad that this happened to her and countless other women and men.

It's so obvious he did the sex trafficking. Why would they not plea this case. I don't get it.

his defense is that it was all consensual. Other than the physical abuse, which is not part of the trial, he thinks he had done nothing illegal.

According to the defense's case, she should be on trial for sex trafficking. We're all agreeing the illegal activity took place. It's just who is responsible.

I am following this case in the media and I don't feel like any of this has been well explained. I am finally getting the bigger picture reading this thread.

I would say the key charge is racketeering because it covers the entire operation and carries the highest charge.

People are trying to excuse him because he is Black, he is bisexual, and because they like his music/talent.

Hollywood and Motown want to forgive him.

Who is trying to excuse him and in what forum? Genuinely wondering. This is so bad for him. His own lawyers are like ok he's a terrible person. Even if he is not found guilty, he will be a pariah forever.

This quote.

“I’m quite sure somebody’s going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them — that’s all you need, is one,” he told host Chris Cuomo. “So, at the end of the day, it’s going to be a real exciting situation, but I think he’s going to be all right.”

Now I understand why he is going to trial.

Who exactly are you talking about? No one at Motown, including Berry Gordy has made any statements in support of Sean Combs. I can think of a handful of celebrities who have spoken out publicly in support of Diddy. And most of them are B-listers, with Kanye being the most famous. The others I recall are Boosie Badazz, Ja Rule, Tyrese, Umar Johnson, and one other person I can't remember. They do not represent "Hollywood". In reality, I think most of Hollywood has remained silent and/or distanced themselves from Combs.

Cassie was probably offered immunity to testify. When she is cross examined I would expect the defense to ask her. I don’t know enough of the facts whether she could also be guilty of trafficking, but it appears she did it at Combs request, so connect the dots, follow the money. Combs is at the center of a criminal enterprise, racketeering. He runs it, he funds it.

That is an article according to Suge Knight. Isn’t he in jail for murder? I wouldn’t listen to anything he says.

They’re paying for articles that say this is all being done to “bring down a powerful black man“ because that’s what Maga wants – only white people to be powerful. However, Suge Knight just came out and said Trump will pardon Diddy if convicted.
Are you talking about the Dr. Umar types and his followers? There are always sick weirdos that support criminals. Even Charles Manson had groupies throughout his trial. This means nothing, they are the exception not the norm. There is no huge movement in support of Diddy.

Bro, if that's true then why didn't you flex your muscles and status, Suge? You're doing 28 years behind bars! Why hasn't Trump pardoned your ass, hmm? Also, Suge fought his charges for 3 years before finally accepting a plea deal right before trial to save himself from life behind bars.

Exactly! STFU Suge Knight, your words have zero credibility.

No one in this sick industry has any right to say a word. They participated in a disgusting coverup.

Am I the only one who thinks that Cassie was a grown ass woman who could've walked away at any time? I can't imagine myself, even as a 19-year-old, booking the prostitutes to have sex with me, letting them pee on me, and taking drugs knowing that I was going to be having sex for days on end- and then doing it over and over for years. I am honestly confused why people are feeling so sorry for her. I would've walked away. But the money and what she was getting in return were obviously enough to convince her to stay in the relationship. I'm sorry, I don't see women as children and so I see her as perfectly capable of saying no.
