I have observed that lesbians who are bigger/taller/less feminine/less girly tend to fall for substantially shorter/smaller/girlier women. And a gazillion men do too.

This is like the female version of the napoleonic complex and I do not understand. If you would just stop (falsely) asserting that short women are universally more sexually attractive, you would not bait people into saying nasty things about short women. If you disparage women of other heights, you are going to get the same abuse thrown right back. Every time.

Increasingly I feel like the goal is specifically to reach the point where people are like "whatever, men who like shorties are probably pedophiles" and the short women who start or encourage these threads are just poking and poking until they get that response and then can act shocked and offended.

You need therapy.

I don’t know if it’s a short woman starting these posts or a regular run of the mill troll. As a short woman I never ask myself these questions. I am curvy and the burden is convincing the world that you are not sexually available, not attracting men.

This comment perfectly encapsulates the truth, which is that men do prefer women who are shorter than they are. But 5'5" is on the tall side of average for a woman.

To someone who is 6' or more, we're all short! So I guess we're all hot. Hurray.

What does his height have to do with wrapping your legs around him? That is a function of whether he's fat, not tall. I can easily wrap my legs around my 6'3" DH while he's pounding me.

Elizabeth Taylor was only 5’2”. I’m sure there are plenty of beautiful women of shorter stature. If the proportions all work that’s what matters.

I’m a tall woman (6foot), and I think men prefer short. I also limited my dating pool because I find taller men sexy. I hate being tall, but there is NOTHING I can do about it. So I try not to stress and reach the high shelf for the small people in the grocery store when they ask. I also pay waaaaaay too much for clothes because tall sizes in regular stores are too short. Life sucks and then you die! Luckily, I still found men to date and married a 6’4’ man.

Yes, but again this is relative. You feel men prefer short women because most women are shorter than you. You're taller than the average man, and since generally men prefer to be taller than their partner, that makes it harder. And since you prefer men to be taller than you, that makes it even harder.

But a 5'7" woman is 5 inches shorter than you and still "tall" in the sense that she's taller than the average woman but a substantial amount.

The fact that men prefer women shorter than 6' feet is like saying women with short hair because most men would not be attracted to a woman with hear to her ankles.
