Board of Veterans Appeals (Attorney Advisor)

I know of one person approved for DRP. It was a quick turnaround from application to approval for them.

Stop asking. Everyone will know at the same time.

It’s likely going to be recent (non-veteran) hires who are at risk.

What makes you think they are going to do a real RIF? That would make BVA the first agency in this administration to have a legitimate RIF that took seniority into consideration. Most likely they will tell all of you to report to a "regional office" 75 miles away with no relocation package or quit. In case you haven't heard, you're not allowed to be remote anymore and even consistent, regular telework is a no-go.

That's a good trick on how much bloat there is at DVA.

The space is full since all the program specialists and hearing support were ordered back to 425. I can only see RTO if they lease more space.

I’ve heard of two acceptances. Both probationary employees.

Anyone else heard that SSCs will be merged back into judge groups as decision drafting attorneys as part of BVA restructuring?
Anonymous
No one has mentioned that within my circle. But I would not be surprised with that outcome.

I was approved for drp.

Are you probationary or no?

Anyone know of someone who was denied DRP?

According to Reddit, tons of VA has been denied. Even many of non-exempt positions that have applied.

The VA subReddit is mostly VHA and VBA folks with no specific talk of BVA. I think the question is regarding BVA people. Anyone know of someone at the BVA that was denied DRP? Knowing whether people were denied would be a good gauge of how many people "leadership" is looking to get rid of at BVA.

I don't know anyone who was denied. We received an email this week about five or six long term attorneys who are retiring as of June 1. I assume they all took DRP.
