Kane was fired. Pretty crappy to call the other hosts “leftovers” because he couldn’t retain his employment. I think your description might work if Kane had removed himself but since he’s not making any statements or available for comment on any articles we can’t really assume he left on his own...

Re-signing as in signing a new deal. If they fired him for cause they can easily write off the severance so it doesn't matter if he was in a new deal or not, bottom line is he's gone. Where is he??

They likely "still be a part of the iheart family" until their severance runs out, if they even get any. A show being canceled kinda ends all the deals although I can't imagine any of them having anything solid in the first place.
