I created this account so individuals can tag me as to defamatory statements/videos made against Ms. Comrie. I'm looking for comments labeling Ms. Comrie a: 1) Karen; 2) racist; and/or 3) thief. Also, videos referencing a third party doing the foreging is also actionable.”

Monique judge has already been tagged.

This is fantastic, though I do think he probably missed the boat by a few days -- a lot of people appear to have deleted tweets at this point.

But I would love if this case actually addressed the question of social media bullying/defamation. There could be implication, for instance, for teenagers who get harassed by peers online. It feels like for some time the attitude has simply been "oh well people can say whatever they want about you online, try not to make yourself a target," but what if this case forced social media platforms and users to face consequences for spreading lies and defamatory statements online. This PA is far from the first person to experience serious reputational destruction because a few bad actors spread a lie and a bunch of unthinking users spread it as truth.

I think this is a feature not a bug. They have Judge an opportunity to stand down. If people are willing to delete I think that’s actually fine with them. It’s the people who are twisting themselves up in knots to keep defaming her who are the twitter targets I think.

I contributed to her go fund me. These kids were trying to take her bike and get her labeled as a Karen just for fun. Her professional reputation has been harmed. Also poor lady is dealing with this after working the night shift while pregnant. She's a physician's assistant at Bellevue-NYU, a hospital for the underservered in NYC with some of the craziest cases and traumas medically. She is young and was really tired, her reaction to what happened to her was appropriate. Thank goodness for digital records or else no one would have believed her.

“The evidence is in the video. The bike is active throughout the entire interaction, which is why her colleague suggested the young man "reset it."

Also evidenced when she walks away from said bike to rent a different one at the end of the video.

The video is his receipt.”

That makes no sense and is just more obfuscating and gaslighting, but ok.

I’m curious as to why Monique won’t admit she could be wrong. It’s baffling.

Monique has a lot at stake here. The evidence challenges her meal ticket and her worldview. She's digging in and fighting for truthiness if not actual truth.

Yes a hundred times. We seem to be tolerating defamation on the internet. I still think the main culprit, the videographer, needs to be sued. Btw no one has proven the men were teenagers or minors.

Ahh, yes, so since it hasn't been proven let's just keep referring to them as Black men... You're a bunch of unstable hypocrites.

He's trying to find some deleted media, specifically from a local news affiliate, see his tweet copied above. I don't know if he's going to go after every deleted tweet, like ThatDaneshGuy. Or maybe he already has copies of some of that stuff--Twitter banned Danesh for doxxing Sarah but I think I saw a copy, not the original, of Danesh's tweet yesterday.

Why was Danesh suspended and not the others? Aren't they also violating the Twitter rules of abuse/harassment and hateful conduct? What did he do that was different from the others?

I dunno. I appreciate this lawyer is taking the high road by not going after the men or people who have deleted their tweets.

But does that still send the message that it's OK to harass people in person or online and, as long as you delete the offensive tweets, we won't go after you? And maybe part of it is driven by a perfectly reasonable calculation that he's a one-man office and doesn't have the resources to go after everybody.

I don't know, only Elon knows. If I had to guess, it's because Danesh was the first person to dox the PA. But you're right, Monique published everything and used her large platform to encourage her followers to harass the PA, and that seems equally bad.

I wonder if he can subpoena Twitter and the news stations.

You can't subpoena anyone before you file a lawsuit, so at this stage, no. They are still in a fact gathering stage and it's clear the lawyer is still evaluating who is most liable AND who it is most worth it to sue (some parties may have been bad actors but it would cost more to sue them than you'd ever recover).

My guess is the right now they are still just collecting examples of defamatory acts, plus I would bet they are shoring up their own evidence backing her version of events, likely by talking to CitiBike about not only validating her receipts for rentals but also clarifying certain things about bike rentals, like the fact that you cannot reserve a specific bike in advance. No need for subpoenas at this stage -- they are just asking nicely.

I find it strange that there is nothing on the internet about the 5 men (or boys) harassing her. Nothing.

Like Google is protecting them.

Maybe they were hired actors paid to stir up trouble, like Jussie Smollet. When things get too quiet people need to manufacture some drama.

They are struggling with their own internal misogyny.

They aren’t. They don’t see it as misogyny. Pointing it out changes nothing.

I suppose that is true. Typically progressives deny misogyny on the left exists.

and there it is...

There's always one that has to drag everything back to politics.

God forbid there's ever a discussion where politics isn't mentioned, rest assured the trolls like pp will pathetically insert it in.

+1, complete with lies about the entire Dem leadership calling all white women Karen or something. Sick of that poster, who is probably also the dog whistle poster .

+1 Everything is about politics for them. Have you seen Twitter? Do you know who are obsessed with this case? MAGA crazy people, they are using it to justify their racism. Rational people can understand and acknowledge what happened here without this level of obsession.

True, but this is what the Democrats get for tolerating racially toxic language. Which they have been doing for a long time.

Do we need to state the obvious for you? The people spewing the term Karen at every opportunity are MAGAs, Incels, and some POC women.

While a Venn diagram might show some overlap between these groups and political affiliations, that's not what's driving this. What's driving it is misogyny and racism.

The use of "Karen" is both racist against white people, and sexist against women. That makes it very popular across the political spectrum.
