You're not very good at that job, are you, momma? (she forgot to tell us her job is stay at home and she helps her little 6 year old read and write, LOL!!!!) |
You clearly aren't from the area. I know you like to sh*t on Poplar Tree, but Poplar Tree is not moving because they are across the street from Chantilly. It IS an insane idea and multiple people keep giving you reasons why this isn’t happening. None of which involve Kathy Smith. Move on. |
I'm the one who told the person to look at a map. No fan of Kathy Smith here, but Poplar Tree clearly stays at Chantilly and it has nothing to do with Kathy Smith. It's also pretty clearly divided from whatever neighborhood that is that she is talking about. And, besides, if KAA goes through, then Chantilly will very likely lose Oak Hill. No other school needs to move from Chantilly. |
Sorry you can dish it out, but you can’t take it. I am very nice until stupid people on here try to make their snarky little comments. News flash to all of you: the school board does not give one single sh*t what any of us want. They will do what they see fit and move on with their business while you all have your tantrums here and on Facebook. But keep blathering on if it makes you feel better. |
The “Karens sitting in their houses in McLean” are going to stay at Langley HS or McLean HS no matter what happens with KAA. Try again. |

This thread has gotten ridiculous. People without any decision making authority arguing and insulting each other personally.
Meanwhile, we have no updates from FCPS about what they are planning to do. It seems all the energy here is better redirected to contacting the school board and urging them to figure out their plans and communicate with the public. https://www.fcps.edu/about-fcps/leadership/school-board/school-board-members. |
| Agree, but people are sticking their heads in the sand if they think there won’t be ripple effects from the KAA acquisition. Other projects will be deferred, kids will get moved to KAA, and kids will get moved to at least one school sending kids to KAA. Shouldn’t the School Board be sharing their thinking or at least a timeline beyond “potentially fall 2026”? |
Oh sweetie, we knew that already, people just like to post here for fun. Did you think everyone was super serious thinking their predictions are the one truth? No, sweetie, we're just having some fun. It's okay, now you know. |
Some people knit. Some people nit pick. It's mindless entertainment. High school debate wannabees. Self included. |
You sound like an old lady using sweetie. I am sad for you that this is your idea of fun. I guess that’s what happens when no one in real life wants to spend time with you. |
It is an opportunity to express opinions and ideas that others may not like. I do think it is interesting to see how people react. For example, there was someone on here a few days ago who kept insisting that KAA become an academy. Was it a troll or someone with an agenda? People bring up issues and defend there own wishes. But, I live near KAA, but would have heard nothing about it closing for months had it not been for this thread. And, then, I would have known nothing about FCPS purchase of KAA had it not been for DCUM. It certainly has not had much press. |

It is sad when your news comes from an anonymous forum. WAPO needs to step up. I read it daily. Almost nothing about FCPS. Metro "section" is now two pages--and most of it is obituaries--and the big ones are seldom local. |
| The decline in the Post metro and schools reporting has been pitiful. They used to actually have local reporters covering local issues. |
The obsession is real ^^. Get a life. |
JFC, you people are frighteningly unwell. I assure you, no one from Langley is trying to scuttle the new school. But it absolutely figures you'd use them as your scapegoat if things don't go your way - when have you ever not?
