It’s hardly just the right wing. All corporate media got marching orders to demonize the mocking, defend ruthless CEOs, and pivot away from any dialogue on predatory practices in U.S. health care and insurance industries.

I think left-wing hopped too early on the "all murder is wrong!" train. Usually their knee jerk reaction whenever someone is killed is to condemn the killer without the facts (see: Daniel Penny) but they mis-calculated on this one. 99% of left wing people I know were keeping their mouths shut until they saw what other people said and how everyone was reacting to it.

Has Trump said anything? I haven't seen anything from him. VERY interesting if he's keeping his mouth shut on this one. If he truly cared about the healthcare system, he'd be using this as an opportunity to bloviate on how horrible it is and how he'll fix it. If he keeps quiet, we know he's making sure he doesn't piss of Corporate America because they're signing his paychecks.

All of Trump’s crew seems to be keeping extremely quiet. He has a lot of the CEO class on his team (Ramaswamy was a pharma company founder) and they paid a ton for his presidency and expect to be protected.

That's probably because you are pretty comfortable and you have hadn't to deal with parents, grandparents, siblings, or your children being denied health care by an accountant.

There are millions of people who have died, suffered, or been destroyed financially so that the CEO of UHC can make his bonus. It's completely reasonable that the entire country - both left and right - is cheering for the shooter. So many families have suffered and died for this guys wealth. And united healthcare was the worst of the worst. That CEO was genuine scum who caused a lot of unnecessary death and suffering - for his money.

Health insurance isn't a toy company. Everyone needs health care to live. And this guy denies life for his profit. It's not at all surprising that people are having some feelings.

You can't have low (or really, not absurdly high) premiums without denying some care.

The point is they would regularly deny care they had promised to provide (and had collected premiums for).

Yes, incompetence is their business model. I was doing very simple claim submission for a period of time. It was always United that kicked back. After much back and forth they’d finally pay. Then next visit it started at square one.

This was pre-AI, but no surprise they’ve embraced it. The perfect industry for it. All they need is something that resembles work product, the more erroneous the better.
